Frankfurt is a global hub for commerce, culture, education, tourism and transportation, and rated as an "alpha world city" according to GaWC. Frankfurt, a central German city on the river Main, is a major financial hub that's home to the European Central Bank.

Frankfurt is located in one of the warmer areas of Germany.  People who do visit Frankfurt in the winter will nearly never find snow but there is still a Christmas market in the month of December which might be worth a visit.

The city is known for its futuristic skyline and the busiest German airport which is located on the river Main. The city centre, especially Romer square, the cultural landscape and the museums at the River Main, draw millions of tourists every year.
