Paul grew up on a hill country farm in New Zealand and, even as a boy, he liked making things around the family farm. Perhaps not surprisingly, he went on to study Agriculture and Engineering at University – and graduated with first-class honours. In his first role, he won a national farm machinery award for the design of a seed drill. Years later, travelling in Ecuador, he saw one of those very same seed drills for sale in a second-hand farm machinery yard by the side of a road. In his 20s, like many New Zealanders, Paul decided to embark on an ‘Overseas Experience’. After several years wandering the globe, he landed what was to him a dream job, working for an adventure travel company leading overland expeditions into remote areas of the world. He climbed Mt Kilimanjaro twice, crossed the Sahara 3 times and the Himalayas 8 times.

Dr Zongjin LI is Chair professor at Macau University of Science and Technology. He received his B.E. from Zhejiang University in 1982 and obtained both his M.S. and PhD from Northwestern University, Chicago, in 1990 and 1993, respectively. He is honorary member and a fellow of American Concrete Institute, Chair of China Group of RILEM and Founding President of ACI China Chapter. As the chief scientist, he has led a China Key National Basic Research Project (973), ‘Basic study on environmentally friendly contemporary concrete’ that promoted the concrete research in China to a world-class level. He also founded the Gordon Research Conference, ‘Advanced Materials for Sustainable Infrastructure Development’ in 2014.

He is pioneer in noncontact resistivity/impedance measurement for cement-based materials and lead the research activities in this area for about 20 years. He also developed cement-based piezoelectric and opened a new direction for civil engineering. The methodology he developed to utilizing the in-situ polymerization of monomer during cement hydration process has shown a strong effect in enhancing flexural strength of cement-based composite. He has published 5 technical books, in which ‘Advanced Concrete Technology’ published by John Wiley has been collected by many national libraries and major university libraries and used by many universities as text or reference books for civil engineering. He has also published more than 400 technical papers with a Google Scholar citation of 27623 and H-index of 89. He has also been awarded eight US and twenty Chinese patents. Three of his patents have been developed into commercial products. He received the Arthur R. Anderson Medal from American Concrete Institute in 2017 and Distinguished Visiting Fellowship Award from British Royal Academy of Engineering in 2014.

Dr.Gongkang Fu is a Professor of Civil and Architectural Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA. His specialty covers, but not limited to, bridge engineering, bridge infrastructure system, uncertainty modeling and analysis, engineering management, and engineering education. He has served as Chair of the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA; Changjiang Scholar Chair Professor of Chinese Education Ministry at Tongji University, Shanghai, China; founding director of the Center for Advanced Bridge Engineering at Wayne State University, Detroit, USA; and Structures Research Head of New York State Department of Transportation, Albany, NY, USA. Dr. Fu has worked on design and research projects funded by the US Federal Highway Administration and the state Departments of Transportation of Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Michigan, Ohio, USA, and other sponsors. His work has been implemented in daily engineering practice within and beyond the USA, via national and state software programs, AASHTO specifications, and US state codes.

Dr.Gongkang Fu is the recipient of recent US national research awards. The 2020 American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) Alfredo Ang Award on Risk Analysis and Management of Civil Infrastructure for "his outstanding contributions on risk analysis and management of bridge infrastructure”; the 2021 ASCE Ernest E. Howard Award for “innovative and significant contributions to national and state practice specifications advancing structural engineering"; and the 2022 Roy W. Crum Award for “his significant, innovative, visionary, and practical contributions to bridge engineering research, implemented in practice of preserving and designing safer highway infrastructure of this country and the world”, Transportation Research Board, US National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

He is serving as a Researcher at Global Institute for Research Education & Scholarship, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Commissioning Editor, IGI Global publisher publishes more than 170 journals quarterly and semi-annually, Researcher, "Vanishing Languages and Cultural Heritage", Austrian Academy of Sciences, and representative of Imperial English UK-A Trusted British Brand in English Language, Independent Research International [IRI] and Advisor Scholarly Journal Management.

He has been Associate or Consulting Editor of numerous journals and also served the editorial review board from 2013- to till now. He has a number of publications and research papers published in various domains. He invited as keynote speaker in International conferences more than 50.

He has given contribution with the major roles such as using modern and scientific techniques to work with sounds and meanings of words, studying the relationship between the written and spoken formats of various Asian/European languages, developing the artificial languages in coherence with modern English language, and scientifically approaching the various ancient written material to trace its origin. Daouda KAMISSOKO is lecturer at IMT Mines Albi (France). He has a PhD in Industrial Systems from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse. His research interests focus on engineering of organizations' functional properties (resilience, robustness, performance...) for decision making in situations of risk, uncertainty, and complexity. He has contributed to about fifty articles (conferences and journals) and fifteen research projects. His activities focus on three areas: training, research, and internationalization.

Daouda Kamissoko has initiated and led several research projects, including: (1) VITALYTI (2018-2019): Virtual and augmented reality for critical system resilience. (2) RESIIST (ANR 2019-2022): Resilience of infrastructures and interconnected systems (3) MINDS (2019-2023): MInes: Numérique, Data et Simulation (4) INSIIST (2020-2023): Robustness indicators for business continuity plans for organizational resilience. (5) DESIIR (2020-2023): Decision support for supply chain resilience in risky environments.

In terms of training, Daouda Kamissoko oversees the Industrial Engineering course (class of around 50 students). He teaches courses in Decision Support, Project Management, Operations Management, Maintenance and Consulting Engineering. He has been involved in several training reforms. He is a member of the WG RAVIE (Augmented and Virtual Reality for an Educational Initiative) Within the International Affairs Department, he has initiated and managed several collaborations. He was heavily involved in the working group dedicated to the creation of the French-Senegalese Campus within the Institut Mines Télécom (IMT). He has led cooperation initiatives in China and Africa (Beijing, Nanging, Tunisia, Morocco, Burkina Faso, Togo, Congo, Cameroon, Guinea). It initiated the CROIIT project (Creation of a Technological Incubator in Togo), the aim of which was to design and launch a technological incubator at the University of Lomé (U-LAB), drawing on the skills and expertise of IMT Mines Albi. This project will lead to the more ambitious IMPACT project (financed by the AAP PEA ANR 2021). He initiated and materialized the creation of a Doctoral School in Engineering in the Republic of Guinea.

He is a Ph.D. at the Center for Intelligent and Networked Systems(CFINS)， Automation Department, Tsinghua University. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Department of Automation, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), in 2018. He will join the Department of the built environment as a research fellow in National University of Singapore. His research interests lie in smart buildings, machine learning, occupancy estimation, mobile applications, and generative models. He performs problem-driven research in the building and energy field. He focuses on developing intelligent building perception systems, integrating data, human knowledge, and deep models. He is a Ph.D. at the from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University ( RTMNU ) India. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Department of Civil Engineering, RTMNU University, in 1997. He is currently working as Assistant Professor at Department of civil Engineering ,YeshwantraoChavan College of Engineering . He has total 25 years of experience out of which 12 years of teaching and 13 years of Industrial experience. He Awarded 04 Indian Patents and 01 Austrian patent. His research interests lie in new foundations like Piled Raft foundation, development of new equipment for soil testing. His topic for Phd id “Design Methodology for Piled Raft foundation using FEM”. He focuses on developing different types of equipment which can be useful for analysis and design of different geotechnical structures. He has published many papers in top international journals, including KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering.

Dipendu Bhunia, currently working as a Professor, holds PhD in Earthquake Engineering specializing in the field of structural dynamics. He has more than 16 years’ experience in teaching. He is affiliated Member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and life member of the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI). He has already completed four research projects jointly at BITS Pilani. As a visiting academic, he visited Trinity College Dublin under ISCA Ireland-India Science foundation programme and University (abroad) - immersion programme, BITS Pilani. His interdisciplinary background comprises structural materials, concrete technology, energy efficient building, structural health monitoring and rehabilitation, earthquake resistant design of structures. He has supervised jointly 2 Ph.Ds in the area of structural materials, concrete technology and energy efficient building and currently supervising 4 Ph.Ds jointly (one of the Co-Supervisors from The University of Thessaly, Greece). He has authored more than 73 publications in journals and conferences in an international repute. He is currently handling Estate Management Unit as a Faculty-in-Charge in the Pilani Campus.
