Len Gelman, PhD, Dr. of Sciences (Habilitation) joined Huddersfield University as a Professor, Chair in Signal Processing/Condition Monitoring and Director of Centre for Efficiency and Performance Engineering, in 2017 from Cranfield University, where he worked as Professor and Chair in Vibro-Acoustical Monitoring since 2002. Len developed novel condition monitoring technologies for aircraft engines, gearboxes, bearings, turbines and centrifugal compressors. Len published more than 250 publications, 17 patents and is Co-Editor of 12 Springer books.

Dr. Kaynak’s current research interests are in the broad field of intelligent systems. He has authored three books, edited five, and authored or co-authored more than 450 papers that have appeared in various journals, books, and conference proceedings. Dr. Kaynak is a fellow of IEEE. He has served on the Editorial or Advisory Boards of several scholarly journals. He was the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Trans. on Industrial Informatics during 2005-2006, IEEE/ASME Trans. on Mechatronics during 2014- 2016, and Co-Editor in Chief of IEEE Trans. on Industrial Electronics during 2009- 2012. He currently serves as the Founding Editor-in-Chief of Springer journal Discover Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Kaynak is active in international organizations, has served on many committees of IEEE, and was the president of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society during 2002-2003. He has received IEEE Third Millennium Medal, IEEE/IES Anthony J. Hornfeck Service Award, IEEE/IES Dr.-Ing. Eugene Mittelman Achievement Award, the China Friendship Award (2016), the Humboldt Research Prize (2016), Doctor Honoris Causa, Obuda University, Hungary (2020) and the International Academy Award of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (2020). He is a member of this Academy.

Professor C.W. Lim Currently a fellow of ASME, ASCE, EMI and HKIE, Ir Professor Lim received a B.Eng. from University of Technology of Malaysia, M.Eng. and PhD from National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, respectively. Prior to joining City University of Hong Kong, he was a post-doctoral research fellow at The University of Queensland and The University of Hong Kong. He is also a visiting professor at various universities worldwide. He has expertise in theory of plates and shells, dynamics of smart piezoelectric structures, nanomechanics, metamaterials and symplectic elasticity. He is currently the subject editor for Journal of Sound and Vibration, joint-editor for Journal of Mechanics of Material and Structures, subject editor for Applied Mathematical Modelling, Managing Editor (Asia-Pacific Region) for Journal of Vibration Engineering & Technologies, Associate Editor for International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, etc. and also on the editorial board of some other top-ranked international journals. He has published one very well-selling title entitled “Symplectic Elasticity”, co- authored with W.A. Yao and W.X. Zhong from Dalian University of Technology, as recorded by the publisher, World Scientific, in Engineering Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering. He has published more than 350 international journal papers and have more than 13,000 citations. Recently Professor Lim was awarded the prestigious 2020 JN Reddy Medal as a recognition “for significant and original contributions to vibration of plates and shells, smart piezoelectric structures, nanomechanics, and symplectic elasticity”. He will deliver a plenary lecture and chair another plenary lecture at WCCM-APACM 2022, the largest biennial meet for computational scientists worldwide. In another scientific forum of four speakers organized by Chinese Science Bulletin and broadcasted on five online platforms, Professor Lim presented the opening lecture and the forum attracted accumulatively over 30,000 audience. He was also previously awarded Top Referees in 2009, Proceedings A, The Royal Society. Professor Lim is a registered professional engineer in Hong Kong.

Dr Wei Min Huang has over 25 years of experience on various shape memory materials (alloy, polymer, composite and hybrid), he has published over 200 papers in journals, such as Accounts of Chemical Research, Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, and Materials Today, and has been invited to review manuscripts from over 300 international journals (including Progress in Polymer Science, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Functional Materials, etc), project proposals from American Chemical Society, Hong Kong Research Grants Council, etc, and book proposals from Springer, Elsevier and CRC. He has published two books (Thin film shape memory alloys – fundamentals and device applications, Polyurethane shape memory polymers) and is currently on the editorial board of over three dozen of journals.

Prof. Simon X. Yang received the B.Sc. degree in engineering physics from Beijing University, China in 1987, the first of two M.Sc. degrees in biophysics from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China in 1990, the second M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Houston, USA in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada in 1999. Prof. Yang joined the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph, Canada in 1999. Currently he is a Professor and the Head of the Advanced Robotics & Intelligent Systems (ARIS) Laboratory at the University of Guelph in Canada. Prof. Yang has diversified research expertise. His research interests include intelligent systems, robotics, control systems, sensors and multi-sensor fusion, wireless sensor networks, intelligent communications, intelligent transportation, machine learning, and computational neuroscience. Prof. Yang he has been very active in professional activities. Prof. Yang serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Intelligence & Robotics, and International Journal of Robotics and Automation; and an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence, and several other journals. He has involved in the organization of many international conferences.

Dr. Guanglei Wu works with Dalian University of Technology as an associate professor (since July 2016). He specializes in robotic technologies including robot design and their industrial applications. His research work related to those fields has been published in Mechanism and Machine Theory, ASME Journal of Mechanical Design, ASME Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics, IEEE ICRA and IROS conferences, etc., and has been internationally recognized.

Achmad Syarifudin, Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at Universitas Bina Darma PalembangSouth Sumatra, Indonesia and has more than 20 years of teaching and research experience. My areas of interest include sustainable and hydraulics infrastructure, river engineering and applied datascience, hydrology and Urban Drainage. I am the author of more than 60 publications and an editorial board member of two civil engineering journals.
