After completing a B.A. and D. Phil. In Metallurgy and Science of Materials at the University of Oxford, Dr.Ian Baker joined the Faculty of the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College in 1982, where heis currently the Sherman Fairchild Professor of Engineering and Senior Associate Dean for Research and Graduate programs. He was the Director of the NIST-funded Center for Nanomaterials Research at Dartmouth from 2002-2005, and Director of the NIH-funded Center for Cancer Nanotechnology Excellence on Magnetic Hyperthermia from 2011-2016. Dr. Baker is a Chartered Engineer (U.K.), and a Fellow of ASM international, TMS, MRS, IOMMM (U.K.) and AAAS. He was Editor-in-Chief of the journal Materials Characterization from 2008-2020. He is co-Editor in Chief of the journal High Entropy Alloys and Materials and Field Chief Editor for the Journal Frontiers in Metals and Alloys both of which will be launched in 2022. He has published over 400 papers and one book entitled “Fifty Materials that Make the World”.

Joseph Poon received his B.S. and Ph.D. from Caltech and did postdoctoral work at Stanford University. He is the William Barton Rogers Professor of Physics, and Professor of Materials Science and Engineering by courtesy, at the University of Virginia, He has worked on superconductivity and magnetism in quasicrystals and metallic glasses in the past. His current research focuses on experimental and computational studies of thermoelectrics, high entropy alloys, and magnetic thin films. He has published more than 260 papers with an H-index of 69. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS) and was named one of Scientific American 50 in 2004 for the discovery of amorphous steel. In 2020, he was recognized with the Jesse Wakefield Beams Award for outstanding research awarded annually by the Southeastern Section of the APS.

Dr Xun Xu received his PhDdegree in 2009 from the Institutefor Superconducting and ElectronicMaterials at the University ofWollongong Australia under thesupervision of Prof. Shi Xue Dou. After finishing the AustralianPostdoctoral Fellowship Industryunder ARC Linkage ProjectLP100100440, he currently works as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Wollongong Australia. His major research interest includessuperconductors, liquid metal, and2D nanostructured materials. He developed the nano-crystallization liquid metal, which has multi-functions for flexible printed circuit boards of micro-devices. He is also one of the members of the firstteam in Australia who successfully fabricatedsilicene, which is a two-dimensional form of silicon similar to the carbon compound graphene.

Pablo D. Esquinazi is professor emeritus at the Felix-Bloch-Institute for Solid State Physics, University of Leipzig in Germany. His current research interest in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics includes the relationship between lattice defects and magnetic order and defect induced superconductivity in graphite, diamond and oxides.

Thomas W. Krause received a B.Sc. degree from University of Calgary, Alberta,Canada, in 1987, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Solid State Physics from McMasterUniversity, Hamilton, ON, in 1989 and 1992, respectively. He was with AppliedMagnetics Group, Queen’s University, Kingston, ON, from 1992 to 1996, after which he took a position with Chalk River Laboratories, ON. In 2006 he moved to Royal MilitaryCollege of Canada, Kingston and became full Professor in 2008. He has 30 years ofresearch and development experience on non-destructive evaluation technology with a focus on eddy current and magnetic Barkhausen noise.

Dr. Arcady Zhukov received Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Solid State Physics (Chernogolovka) of the Russian Academy of Science, in 2010- Doctor of Science (habilitation) in Moscow State “Lomonosov” University. Present employment: Ikerbasque Research professor at the Advanced Polymers and Materials of the University of Basque Country, Spain. He has published more than 600 referred papers in the international journals (total number of citations 10212, Citation H-index 56(WOS)/ 13321 and H=63(Google scholar)). A. Zhukov is included in the ‘Ranking of the World Scientists: World´s Top 2 % Scientists” elaborated by Stanford University based on citations, h-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. Dr. Gerardo F. Goya (Argentina, April 1964) completed his PhD degree at the University of La Plata and Centro Atómico Bariloche, Argentina. During 2001-2007 Prof. Goya has been Associate Professor at the Institute of Physics, University of Sao Paulo (Brazil), where he created and managed the mechanochemistry laboratory at the Materials Physics Department (DFMT). Dr. Goya is currently Associate Professor at the University of Zaragoza, Spain, where he joined the Institute of Nanoscience of Aragón (INA) in 2005 to start and consolidate a new research line on nanomagnetism and biomedical applications of magnetic nanoparticles, mainly magnetic hyperthermia. The achievements in this period include new methods of synthesis of magnetic NPs with improved control of size and magnetic properties, and the successful proof of principle of a ‘Trojan Horse strategy’ for oncology, by inducing cell death with magnetic hyperthermia in dendritic-cell primary cultures. In addition, the group has developed several studies of different biological agents as models of interaction with magnetic particles. Prof. Goya led the design, development and building of a unique equipment for measuring power absorption in magnetic hyperthermia. This was a pioneer system with many technological improvements designed to make a fully automatic measuring system. The innovation of these activities made the basis for a spin off company from the University of Zaragoza, of which he is co-founder and scientific advisor. He has more than 150 international publications (h-index=36) with more than 5000 citations, 2 PCT patents and more than 120 conference presentations including more than 40 invited talks.

Setsuhisa Tanabe is a Professor of Material Chemistry at Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies, Kyoto University, Japan. He is the author of >270 original papers, >25 book chapters, and >40 review papers on rare-earth doped luminescent materials for upconversion lasers, optical fiber amplifier for telecommunication, LED phosphors and persistent phosphors. Dr. Liviu Chibotaru received his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Science of Moldova. He is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry of KU Leuven. His research includes the theory of magnetic and vibronic interaction in transition metal compounds; the theory of anisotropic exchange interaction and relaxation in magnetic materials; the theory of multiband and mesoscopic superconductors. His main achievement in the domain of molecular magnetic materials was the development of an ab initio methodology for the first-principles description of anisotropic magnetic properties and magnetization dynamics in single-molecule magnets. He has published 275 papers in international journals [total number of citations =19000, h=68 (WOS) and 22100 / h=73 (Google scholar)]. L. Chibotaru was recognized in 2018, 2019 and 2020 as a Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate Analytics (Web of Science). Joulia Larionova is an Engineer in radiochemistry and nuclear physics. After defending her thesis at the University of Bordeaux I in 1998, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Switzerland at the Universities of Bern and Lausanne, and was appointed as a Lecturer at the University of Montpellier. Being a Professor at the University of Montpellier since 2009, she directed research activities in the Institute Charles Gerhardt Montpellier (ICGM). Her research topic is focused on the development of inorganic and molecular materials at nano- and macro scale with magnetic and optical properties, and porosity for applications in the areas of biology and medicine, sensors and gas sorption.

Avik Ghosh is Professor at the Charles Brown Dept of Electrical and Computing Engineering and the Dept of Physics at the University of Virginia. He did his PhD in condensed matter theory at the Ohio State University, and a postdoctoral fellowship in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University. He is the UVA site-director of the NSF-Industry University Cooperative Center on Multifunctional Integrated Systems Technology (MIST). Ji Wang is the founding director of the Piezoelectric Device Laboratory, Ningbo University. Professor Ji Wang also held visiting positions at Chiba University, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Argonne National Laboratory. In 2008, He was appointed as Senior Lecturer at Casali Center for Applied Chemistry and Institute of Chemistry and on 2015 he was promoted to Associate Professor. His research focuses on nanocatalysis, magnetic materials, green chemistry and developing micro and nanoencapsulation methods.

Dr. Hongzhi Fu (Ph.D.-physics), now is professor of Physics of Luoyang Normal University, and teaches Solid State Physics, Superconductivity Physics and Semiconductor Physics. He got his Ph.D in 2007 at the Atomic and Molecular Physics of Sichuan University, China, and done postdoctoral research at the State Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials, Jilin university, China from 2009.9 ~ 2013.6; 2014~till now, Professor at School of physics and electronic information, Luoyang Normal University, 2009~2014, Associate Professor at School of physics and electronic information, Luoyang Normal University, 2007~2009, Letter at School of physics and electronic information, Luoyang Normal University. Previously he studied the lattice dynamics and phase transformation. Currently Dr. Hongzhi Fu’ researches focus on the theoretical study of structural, electronic structural, elastic anisotropy of bulk materials, and the Monte Carlo scheme for the phonon images, using bond stress transformation matrices and green function, etc. He published more than 60 academic papers, which cited more than 800 times. Dr. Song got his Ph.D. in 2017 from the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences. And then he joined Institute of Solid State Physical Chemistry of the Max Planck Societyto work on magnetic Weyl semimetals as a Postdoc. In 2018 he left German and back to Singapore to study the application of magnetic materials. Now he is a associate research fellow in the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Saeed ZAHRAN (PhD) holds a position of Research Engineer at Brain Institute in Paris. He received the Master of Science in Biomedical-Engineering (2014) from Lebanese University. He obtained the PhD degree (2018) from University of Technology of Compiègne (France). He joined INSERM (Amiens, France) as Postdoctoral Researcher and spent two years in comparing the performance of Optically Pumped Magnetometers with conventional SQUID. He spent one year in INSERM (Rennes, France) as Postdoctoral Researcher working in computational model of brain activity.

Dr. Mourad Smari is a researcher at the University of Coimbra's LIBPhys-UC, Department of Physics. has an interdisciplinary education ("MSc" in physics from the University of Sfax; Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Sfax with the University of Autonoma Madrid's participation). Smari's research focuses on the synthesis, structural characterization, and investigation of magnetic and transport properties of a wide range of materials, including bulk, thin films, and nanoparticles, that exhibit dielectric, ferroelectric, magnetocaloric, and colossal magnetoresistance properties of technological importance (magnetic refrigeration, magneto-electric devices). M. Smari has co-authored 43 papers in SCI journals around the world. His publications had nearly 745 citations (h-index 17) as of May 2022, indicating that the scholarly community valued his work. He also serves as a reviewer for Alloys and Compounds, Physica B, JMMM, Applied Physics A, and Dalton Transactions, among other SCI publications. M. Smari serves on the editorial boards of the SCIREA Journal of Physics — Open Access Journal and the Journal of Vehicle Dynamics. Prof. Dr. Ramos-Guivar, Juan Adrián is a full-time Nanotechnology researcher and full-Time Professor of Solid-State Physics, Classical Electrodynamics, Mathematical Methods for Physicists, and Modern Physics at the National University of San Marcos, Lima-Peru. Also, he currently acts as a scientific journal reviewer of several peer-reviewed journals. He obtained his Bachelor in Physics in 2013 from the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM), Lima, Peru. Paula Corte-Leon is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Polymers and Advanced Materials: Physics, Chemistry and Technology of the University of the Basque Country, Spain. She received her PhD degree in Physics of Nanostructures and Advanced Materials from the University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU, in 2022. Her doctoral thesis pursued obtaining of amorphous magnetic microwires with optimal properties for their application in advanced magnetic sensors based on the effect of giant magnetoimpedance and bistable magnetic behaviors. Current fields of interest: amorphous and nanocrystalline ferromagnetic materials, magnetic microwires, giant magnetoimpedance, giant magnetoresistance, and magnetoelastic sensors.

My research work mainly focuses on the construction and function of DNA nanomachines, which are cutting edge and challenging topics. I designed and constructed unique DNA molecular tension probes using a short circular DNA nanotechnology technique and functionalized these probes with fluorophores, gold nanoparticles, small molecular drugs, and peptide ligands. I achieved nano-specific precision in organizing plasmonic nanoparticles on the nano DNA frameworks to achieve plasmon resonance effects. My work on the DNA nanomachines provided an efficient mechanism of fluorescence resonance energy transfer that realizes the bio-imaging, and detection of biological events, and functions of the biomolecules. I have been working on multilayered hybrid magnetic nanoparticles for applications in nanomedicine from last two years.

I am Dr. Tushar R. Dandekar and would like to introduce myself as an early career researcher. I am Institute post doctoral fellow at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India. IIT Bombay is premier institute ranked 3rd in the engineering, overall, and research categories. I have been awarded Doctor of Philosophy on 13/06/2022 for thesis entitled “Deformation, Recrystallization, and Aging Behavior of UNS S32101 Lean Duplex Stainless Steel” at Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, Maharashtra, INDIA. VNIT is one of the 31 institutes in India recognized by Government of India as the Institute of National Importance (apart from IISc and IITs). My PhD work focused on cold rolling, recrystallization and aging behavior of the UNS S32101 Lean Duplex Stainless Steel. In this project, I used Electron Backscattered Diffraction (EBSD) for orientation imaging, grain boundary misorientation (residual stress), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Micro-hardness, and XRD for microstructural, micro-textural and mechanical properties characterization. Having extensively worked on the various cold rolled metallic materials, I have developed deeper insights into the micro-mechanics of materials testing. Furthermore, this has been achieved by materials characterization over the length scales, using optical and electron microscopes (SEM AND TEM), X-ray diffractometer (for phase analysis and texture measurements) and macro/micro mechanical testing. My research outcomes have been presented at various international conferences/meetings and peer-reviewed journals.In other leadership roles, I organized many technical events in past as a President of ISHRAE (Indian Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) Nagpur chapter. I won project competition and presentation competitions in past. I also act as a reviewer in reputed journals (Journal of Materials Processing Technology, Journal of Magnesium and Alloys, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, and Fatigue & Fracture of Engineering Materials & Structures) and carry out reviewer work to upgrade as well as monitor new researches in the materials engineering domain.

Martins Brics received a B.Sc. degree from University of Latvia, Riga, Latvia, in 2008, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from University of Rostock, Germany, in 2011 and 2016, respectively. In 2018 he moved back to Latvia and joined the Magnetic Soft Material group led by prof. A. Cebers, where currently he is a postdoc researcher. In research he mainly focuses on theoretical and computational problems and currently is investigating properties of hematite colloids.

Marie-Bernadette Lepetit has graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique (X82) and got her PhD at the Toulouse University. She dis her postdoctoral work at Supercomputer Computation Center of Florida State University. She is presently a Director of research at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in the Néel Institut in Grenoble, and in the neutrons European facility (Institut Laue Langevin) by courtesy. She has worked on strong the electronic correlation both from an ab-initio and effective model point of view. Her current research focuses on multiferroic materials and the description of their properties from effective models grounded in ab-initio fully correlated calculations.

Israa Medlej received her Ph.D. in Physics (Grade 1-So Honorable) in 2019 from Messina University, Italy, in collaboration with the Lebanese University. For her Ph.D. studies, she also received a scholarship sponsored by the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain (Erasmus Project). Her fundamental expertise includes magnetism, spintronics, and the implementation of experimental techniques for the characterization of magnetic microparticles. She also received a scholarship in 2016 sponsored by the University of Lorraine, Saint Avold (France), to do her internship for Master 2 in Condensed Matter Physics. She got the Best Oral Presentation in France and the Best Poster Award at the Conference of the Italian Magnetism Association Magnet 2019. After her Ph.D., she started working on magnonics and spintronics-based neuromorphic computing. She has been admitted as a Postdoctoral Researcher for High-Level Foreign Talents (Category A) at the Southern University of Science and Technology, China. Besides, she has been serving on an editorial board of repute. She was a member of the local organizing committee: i) The annual meeting of the IEEE Italy chapter in June 2018 (30 participants) and (ii) the 6th Italian conference on Magnetism (120 participants), from January 30 to February 1, 2019 conference promoted by the Italian Magnetism Society (http://magnet2019.unime.it/). She has published in international reviewed journals. She has reviewed papers in reputed journals.

Prof Tchoula Tchokonte is an Associate professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He obtained his DEA in Theoretical Solid State Physics at the University of Yaounde, Cameroon, his MSc degree in Theoretical Solid State Physics and PhD degree in experimental Condensed Matter Physics at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a member of the South African Institute of Physics (SAIP) and has been a regular Associate of the Abdu Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy. His activities are based on experimental research in Strongly Correlated Electron Systems (SCES) and Magnetism of rare earth compounds. His research on these compounds involves measurements, analysis and interpretation of transport and thermodynamic properties such as electrical resistivity, magnetoresistivity, thermoelectric power, thermal conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, magnetocaloric effect and specific heat capacity over a broad range of temperature and magnetic fields. He has published several research papers in peer – reviewed research journals and presented his research finding and interpretations at several national and international conferences and workshops.

Dr. Chandana Rath received her Ph.D. degree in Physics from Utkal University, India and was a Post Doctoral fellow in University of Girona, Spain for 2 years. Her area of Research is Nanomagnetics , Multiferroics, Ion Irradiation, Semiconducting Nanostructured Materials. She has gained distinctions as Women Achiever in STEM in 2021, MRSI MEDAL 2015 from Materials Society of India, Young Researcher Award-1998 in IUMRS-ICA, India. She has completed several national projects and an international project from National Foundries of Fine Analysis, Europe. She has published three national patents and published more than 100 research articles in SCI(E) journals.

Dr. Ganesh Lal completed his Ph.D in Physics from Mohanlal Sukhadia University Udaipur India. Previously he completed M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and M.Sc. from MLSU Udaipur. He is working as Assistant Professor on guest basis at University Engineering College Govind Guru Tribale University Bansawara India. Main interest of the research is synthesis of doped and intrinsic metal oxides like nanoferrites, perovskite and spintronic materials and studies of structural, morphology, optical, dielectric and magnetic properties. Materials are prepared via auto combustion sol-gel routes which required low cost raw materials, less number of equipments and also environment friendly. A key point of research is search of environment friendly, chemically and physically stable, better semiconducting and magnetically rich materials that could also exhibit superparamagnetism at room temperature for various applications.
