PRASAD currently holds the unique multidisciplinary position of SUNY Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Medicine (four departments spanning three schools). Alexander G. Ramm was born in Russia, emigrated to USA in 1979 and is a US citizen. He is Professor Emeritus of Mathematics with broad interests in analysis, scattering theory, inverse problems, theoretical physics, engineering, signal estimation, tomography, theoretical numerical analysis and applied mathematics. He is an author of 716 research papers, 20 research monographs and an editor of 3 books. He has lectured in many Universities throughout the world, gave more than 150 invited and plenary talks at various Conferences and had supervised 11 Ph.D students. He was Fulbright Research Professor in Israel and Ukraine; distinguished visiting professor in Mexico and Egypt; Mercator Professor in Germany; Research Professorin France; invited plenary speaker at the 7-th PACOM; he won Khwarizmi international award in 2004 and received other honors. A.G.Ramm has proved uniqueness of the solution to inverse scattering problems with fixedenergy scattering data; with non-over-determined scattering data and studied scattering problems with under-determined scattering data. He solved many specific inverse problems and developed new methods and ideas, based on the notion of Property C for a pair of differential operators. He solved the many-body wave scattering problem when the bodies are small particles of arbitrary shapes, assuming that a  d  λ, where a is the characteristic size of small particles, d is the distance between neighboring particles, and λ is the wavelength in the material in which the small particles are embedded. He used this theory to give a recipe for creating materials with a desired refraction coefficient and materials with a desired wave-focusing property. These results attracted attention of the scientists working in nanotechnology. He gave formulas for the scattering amplitude for scalar and electromagnetic waves by small bodies of arbitrary shapes and formulas for the polarizability tensors for such bodies. He gave a solution to the Pompeiu problem; proved the Schiffer’s conjecture and gave first symmetry results in harmonic analysis. He has developed the Dynamical Systems Method (DSM) for solving linear and non-linear operator equations, especially ill-posed. A. G. Ramm developed a random fields estimation theory. He has developed a theory of convolution equations with hyper-singular integrals. He studied the spectral properties of the Schr¨ odinger’s operators in domains with non-compact boundaries and gave suffient conditions for the absence of eigenvalues on the continuous spectrum of these operators. A. G. Ramm has solved one of the millennium problems concerning the Navier-Stokes problem (NSP) and proved a paradox in the NSP which shows the contradictory nature of the NSP and the non-existence of its solution on the interval t 2 [0; 1) for the initial data v0(x) 6≡ 0 and f(x; t) = 0.

Mark Thompson received his B.S. degree in Chemistry in 1980 (U.C. Berkeley), his Ph.D. in chemistry in 1985 (California Institute of Technology) and was a postdoctoral fellow at Oxford University. Thompson currently holds the Ray R. Irani Chair of Chemistry at the University of Southern California. He is a Fellow of the AAAS and Humboldt Society, has received a number of national and international awards and has been elected to the National Academy of Inventors and the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). His research involves the study of materials and devices for electroluminescence, photovoltaics and solar cells, chemical/biological sensing and catalysis. Rodrigo Martins, Portuguese nationality, was born in Nova Lisboa, Angola. He got in 1974 the Honours degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications and applied Electronics by U. Luanda, Angola/ PT. In 1977 he got the MSc degree in Semiconductor Materials, by the University of Dundee, Scotland. Thesis title: “Photoconductivity in P Doped and Undoped Amorphous Germanium.” Supervisor W. Spear, 1977 Euro physicist award. In 1982, the Ph.D. in Energy conversion and Semiconductors, by New University of Lisbon, Portugal. Thesis title: “a-Si:H solar cells processing and characterization”. In 1988 he got the Habilitation in Semiconductor Materials and Microelectronics, by New University of Lisbon, Portugal. Lesson title: “Density of states in disordered semiconductors”. Full Professor at FCT-NOVA since 2002 in the area of Materials Engineering, speciality Materials for Energy, Microelectronics and Nanotechnologies.

Professor Stein obtained his B.Sc. degree in chemistry at the University of Calgary in 1986 and carried out his graduate work with Professor Geoff Ozin at the University of Toronto, specializing in the synthesis and characterization of zeolite materials. After earning his Ph.D. degree in 1991, he joined the Advanced Inorganic Materials group at the corporate research labs of Bayer A.G. in Germany as an NSERC postdoctoral fellow, followed by postdoctoral research with Professor Tom Mallouk at both the University of Texas, Austin, and at Penn State University. In 1994 he joined the faculty at the University of Minnesota, where he is now a Merck Professor and Distinguished McKnight University Professor of Chemistry. Professor Stein’s research interests are in the field of solid state chemistry, in particular porous materials and nanocomposites. His program has pioneered research on the compositional and structural control of templated mesoporous and macroporous sieves, nanoparticle shaping, open-framework structures, and polymer/inorganic nanocomposites. His research targets a wide range of applications, including membranes, solar thermal energy conversion, bioactive glasses, lithium ion batteries, ion-selective sensors, catalyst materials, polymer-clay nanocomposites, photonic crystal materials, and pigments. He is the recipient of several awards, including a Merck Professorship in Chemistry, a 3M Faculty Grant, a Dupont Young Professor Grant, an NSF CAREER Award, a McKnight Land-Grant Professorship, and a prestigious David & Lucile Packard Fellowship. He has been on the editorial advisory board for Chemistry of Materials and is currently on the advisory boards for Advanced Functional Materials, for Particles, and for Research (an open access Science Partner Journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the China Association for Science and Technology). He is also an editor of the six-volume Handbook of Solid State Chemistry. Prof. Neil Cameron is Head of the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at Monash University (Australia) and is also the Monash Warwick Alliance Professor of Polymer Materials. Previously, he was a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Durham University (UK), where he started as an Assistant Professor in 1997. He has a BSc and PhD from the University of Strathclyde (UK). His research is focused on the preparation of novel polymeric materials, with particular emphasis on scaffolds for 3D in vitro cell culture and tissue engineering, self-assembling polypeptides, peptide-synthetic polymer hybrids and sugar-containing polymers (glycopolymers). His research has led to the publication of >170 papers and he has given >160 invited lectures at conferences and colloquia. He was awarded a DTI SMART Award (2001), the Macro Group UK Young Researcher’s Medal (2003), an ICI Strategic Fund Award (2004), a Durham University Christopherson/Knott Fellowship (2008) and he was a member of the team that won the RSC’s Rita and John Cornforth award (2011). Professor Jagdish (Jay) Narayan (Member of National Academy) is the John C. Fan Family Distinguished Chair in Materials Science and Engineering Department of North Carolina State University. He received his B. Tech (Highest Hons & Dist.) from IIT, Kanpur in 1969 and MS (1970) and PhD (1971) from UC Berkeley in a record time of two years. He is internationally known for his pioneering contributions in laser annealing and pulsed laser deposition, defects and interfaces, domain matching epitaxy for novel thin film heterostructures across the misfit scale, and creation of new of materials with unique properties. Narayan’s most recent research pertains to the discovery of Q-carbon and Q-BN and direct conversion of carbon into diamond and h-BN into c-BN at ambient temperatures and pressures in air. He has published over 500 archival journal papers, 48 US Patents and 9 edited books, which have over 35,000 citations. He has graduated over 87 PhD students and trained equal number of postdocs. He has received highest honors from the State of North Carolina (North Carolina Science Award), UNC System (O. Max Gardener Award), and North Carolina State University (Holladay Medal). His other honors include NAE, NAI and NAS-I, ASM International Gold Medal, ActaMaterialia Gold Medal, TMS RF Mehl Gold Medal; and Fellow MRS (Inaugural), Fellow APS, Fellow AAAS, Fellow TMS, and Fellow ASM International.

Qibing Pei is a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. His current research activities focus on stretchable electronic materials, nanostructured polymer composites, dielectric elastomers and bistable electroactive polymers for muscle-like actuation, and functional device demonstration. He received a B.S. degree from Nanjing University and a PhD from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Linköping University, Sweden, a senior chemist at UNIAX Corporation (now DuPont Display), and a senior research engineer at SRI International. He leads the UCLA Soft Materials Research Laboratorysince 2004. He is a Fellow of SPIE, member of ACS, MRS, IEEE, SID,an Advisory Board Member of Smart Materials & Structures, Soft Robotics, Advanced Electronic Materials, and Scientific Reports.

Dr.Kun Zhou is an associate professor in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He received his B.Eng. and M. Eng. degrees from Tsinghua University in 1998 and 2001, respectively, China and his Ph.D. from NTU in 2006. His research interests include additive manufacturing, mechanics of materials, and modelling and design for sustainable materials. He is Programme Director of Marine and Offshore in Singapore Centre for 3D Printing.He has published over 350 papers in refereed journals and over 20 book chapters. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Smart Manufacturing, Co-Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Micromechanics and Molecular Physics, and an associate editor or editorial board member of eight international journals including Virtual and Physical Prototyping and International Journal of Fatigue.

Professor Raman Singh’s expertise includes: Alloy Nano/Microstructure-Corrosion Relationship, Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC), Corrosion/SCC of Biomaterials, Corrosion Mitigation by Novel Material (e.g., Graphene), Advanced and Environmentally Friendly Coatings, High Temperature Corrosion. Born December 2, 1956, Anderson Stevens Leonidas Gomes is a native of Recife, Pernambuco. He finished his undergraduate (1978) and Masters (1982) in Physics, at the Department of Physics, University Federal of Pernambuco. He completed his doctorate in Laser Physics at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London (1986), and postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University (1992). He is a Full Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics of UFPE. His scientific activities are in the areas of Laser applications in nano and biophotonics, nonlinear optics and nonlinear photonic devices, where he is co-author of over 300 scientific publications, H-factor 32, and supervised more than 40 Master and PhD thesis. He is a fellow of the Optical Society of America, where he has been the Chair of the International Council (2011-2012). He is also a member of the Brazilian Physical Society (SBF), SPIE, IEEE and Brazilian Academy for the Progress of Science (SBPC). He acted in many higher education Brazilian scientific policy committees, and coordinated the area of Physics and Astronomy at CAPES (Brazilian Education Agency, 2008-2010), and is a former member of the Physics Council at CNPq (Brazilian Science Agency). In 2010, he was awarded and admitted in the National Order of the Scientific Merit, Classe Comendador in the area of Physical Sciences (Decree of 27th December 2010) and is a Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. Chaired several committees both in Sweden, Nordic countries, as well as the chair of the International Committee on Nanostructured Materials. He published some 380 papers, 25 patents and is co-founder of 4 startups.

Prof. Víctor M. Castaño is a recognized international leader in several areas of applied science and technology . He holds a B.Sc. degree in Engineering Physics and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physics from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. He spent 2 years at IBM´s Thomas J. Watson Research Center in New York as postdoctoral fellow. He has been a lecturer at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (Faculties of Chemistry, Sciences, Engineering, Accounting and Administration and Dentistry), Universidad Autonoma de Querétaro (Faculties of Engineering, Medicine, Accounting and Administration, Psychology and Law), the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (Faculty of Physical-Mathematical Sciences), the Universidad Iberoamericana, the Instituto Tecnológico de Querétaro, etc. He was the founding Director of the Center for Applied Physics and Advanced Technology of the UNAM in Juriquilla, Querétaro. Prof. Castaño has published around 800 articles in international refereed and indexed journals, 260 articles in conferences proceedings, 31 book chapters,8 books and has 36 patents. He has 752 papers presented at conferences and 62 technical reports to various industries. He has been advisor to over 93 B.Sc., 33 M.Sc. and 73 Ph.D. thesis in Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, the USA, Canada, Spain and Germany. His work has received over 15,500citations, especially in the last few years, when some of his pioneering contributions have begun to have great impact and have led him to receive international awards and recognitions and he is one of the most cited Latinamerican scientists in his area. In this respect, it is important to emphasize the fact that Víctor Castaño is an engineer and scientist of great originality, who dares not only to explore subjects that do not represent the fashion of international science, but also has the capacity of having his proposals receiving worldwide attention. He is Associate Editor of several prestigious international journals and Editor-in-Chief of CurrentnanoMedicine. He is Treasurer, by election, of the International Council for Materials Education and has been a member of several evaluation committees in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Spain, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, etc.Probably the areaswhere Prof. Castaño is best known is in materials science and biomedicine, where he invented a very extensive list of new materials and technologies for various applications. He has also been strongly involved on the social implications of Science and Technology and he is currently associated to the M.Sc. Program of Applied Ethics and Bioethics of the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro and the Caribbean Research Ethics Education Initiative Master of Science Program, with the Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro (Mexico), St. George's University (Grenada), Clarkson University (USA) and The National Institute of Health (USA).

Prof. Amitava Patra is currently Director, at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, and a Senior Professor at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science. He was born in 1965 and received his Ph. D (1993) from Jadavpur University, India. He completed postdoctoral work at Tokyo University, Japan, RIKEN, Japan and University at Buffalo, USA. Amitava pioneered the study of two-photon spectroscopy and ultrafast carrier dynamics on the contemporary topic of 2D structures, perovskite, metal clusters, polymeric nanoparticles, and quantum dots for light-harvesting applications. He is interested to learn the mechanisms for photo-initiated processes such as exciton dynamics, ultrafast carrier dynamics, electron transfer, and energy transfer of nanomaterials for solar energy conversion. He is the author or co-author of more than 235 scientific papers, 5 book chapters, and 2 Indian patents. He was an Advisory board member of Nanoscale and Journal of Physical Chemistry and others. Prof. Amitava Patra is amongst the world's Top 2% scientist 2020 with a global rank of 149 in Physical Chemistry (Ranking is based on C-score). Prof. Amitava Patra has been elected as a Fellow of the Optical Society of America (OSA), and the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC). He is a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences (FASc), India, the National Academy of Sciences (FNASc), India and the West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology. Dr. Lucien Veleva is majored in Electrochemistry (Eng.) from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, Bulgaria. Her PhD received in the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Bulgaria, and after that she worked as a researcher in the Institute for Protection of Metals from Corrosion, Sofia, Bulgaria, as a head of National Laboratory of Corrosion. Since 1994, she is Associate Professor at Applied Physics Department, CINVESTAV, Mexico. In 2011, she received “Doctor Honoris Causa”. Then, in 2012, she was honored with the Francis La Que Award from ASTM G01, USA. Moreover, in 2013, she the NACE International Distinguished Career Award. In 2021 she was honored with the National Award of the Electrochemical Society of Mexico. Lucien Veleva has more than 200 articles in international journals, has chapters in international books, and has 4 patents.

Dr. Yuewei Ai is an associate professor of Key Laboratory of Traffic Safety on Track and School of Traffic & Transportation Engineering, Central South University, China. He works as a graduate supervisor and member of LIA and IEEE. He has organized the Symposium “Numerical Modeling and Simulation of Laser Processing of Materials” of ICNAAM2019, and has been awarded as the Committee Member of MPMME2017. He has published over 20 refereed papers in related great popularity and prestige journals in laser processing of materials. His research interests include Laser Welding and Additive Manufacturing, Multi-phase Flow Modeling and Simulation, Intelligent Laser Welding.

Tayfun Babadagli is a professor in the Civil and EnvironmentalEngineeringDepartment, School of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, at the University of Alberta, where he holds anNSERC-Industrial Research Chair in Unconventional Oil Recovery. He previously served on the faculty at IstanbulTechnical University, Turkey, and Sultan Qaboos University,Oman.Babadagli holds BS and MS degrees from IstanbulTechnical University and MS and PhD degrees from the Universityof Southern California, all in petroleum engineering. His areas of interest include modeling fluid and heat flow in heterogeneous and fractured reservoirs, reservoir characterization through stochastic and fractal methods, optimization of oil/heavy-oil recovery by conventional/unconventional enhanced-oil-recovery methods, and CO2 sequestration. Babadagli was an executive editor for Society of Petroleum Engineer’s (SPE) Reservoir Evaluation and Engineering Journal (Formation Evaluation part) between 2010 and 2013 and an associate editor of ASME J. of Energy Resources Technology between 2011 and 2014. He is currently a member of the Journal of Petroleum Engineering (JPT) Editorial Committee. Babadagli was elected an SPE Distinguished Member in 2013, and was an SPE Distinguished Lecturer in 2013–2014. He is also the recipient of the 2017 SPE International Reservoir Description and Dynamics Award.In 2020, Babadagli was selected as a recipient of SPE and AIME Honorary Membership.

Assunta Marrocchi is Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry at University of Perugia (Italy), Department of Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology. Following herPh.D. in Chemical Sciencesat the same Institution,shegotpostdoctoral and academicresearch positions, and she joined the Radboud University Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and the Northwestern University (IL, USA) as visiting scientist. Her education and professional career are essentially focused on organic synthesis-themed research, including advanced organic materials and their application in organicelectronics;sustainable conversion of biomass into high added value chemicals, fuels, and materials. She is leading author/co-author of more than 110 JCR papers, 5 book chapters with ISBN and DOI, two issued patents and two filed patent applications.She recently edited the book “Sustainable Strategies in organic electronics” (Elsevier-Woodhead, 2022).

I graduated with a master's in Physical Chemistry from the Faculty of Industrial Chemistry "TosoMontanari" 110/110, Bologna. I hold my first PhD in Physics and NanoSciences at the University of Salento (Italy), at my second European Marie Curie PhD in Chemical Sciences: Molecules, Materials, Tools and Biosystems at EcoleNormale Paris Saclay (France). Actually, I work as a senior researcher at the Nanotechnology centre of CNR Nanotec in Lecce (Southern Italy). I do research in photophysics and photochemistry and optoelectronic devices. My current project is based on the photophysical study of new small molecules presenting Thermal activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) and Room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) for optoelectronic and biological applications.

Doctor Anna ZAWADZKA was born in Kielce. She received an M.Sc. degree in Physics, specializationin Microelectronicsfrom the Nicolaus Copernicus University (Toruń, Poland) in 1996 and obtained her PhD degree in Physical Sciences, specialization in Atomic and Molecular Physics in 2001. Her Ph.D. thesis concerned the multiphoton ionization process enhanced with two-electron excitation in calcium atoms. During her Ph.D. research, she joined the group of Physical Bases of Microelectronics at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics at the University of Toruń.In 2003-2004 she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Radboud University in Nijmegen in the Netherlands. During this period, she worked in the Department of Molecular and Laser Physics in Professor D. Parker's group and dealt with velocity-map imaging phenomena. From the beginning of her scientific activity, her work focused on the subject of the interaction of strong electromagnetic radiation with matter. After returning from the Netherlands, she took up materials engineering with a special focus on thin films and their practical applications. Doctor ZAWADZKA obtained her habilitation in 2019 at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow POLAND in the field of technical sciences, specializing in materials engineering. The subject of the habilitation thesis was related to experimental methods of fabricating and testing the properties of thin films and thin-layer nanostructures. In 2020, she was employed as a Professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in the group of research and teaching staff. Currently, she is also the head of the laboratory and the team of Microelectronics and Laser Ablation at the Institute of Physics, and the laboratory and the team of Low-Dimensional Structures at the NCU Interdisciplinary Center for Modern Technologies. Doctor AnnaZAWADZKA is a scientist specializing in materials engineering, in particular, the fabrication of thin films and nanostructures and the study of their properties in the processes of interaction with external radiation. She has extensive experience in the fabrication of multilayer structures for applications in micro-, optoelectronics and photovoltaics as well as diagnostics and investigations of NLO effects using short pulse lasers. Doctor ZAWADKA is also involved in research on nonlinear optical materials (NLO) and effects in nanophotonics, biophotonics and molecular photonics. She has carried out groundbreaking research into self-assembly within nanostructured thin films containing phthalocyanine and its derivatives. Her scientific publications concern both the technological aspects of thin film deposition processes and the study of their optical, electrical and structural properties. She has published over 100 articles in international scientific journals. She has more than900 citations and her H-index is currently equal to 19. She was a guest editor of 4 special issues of the scientific journals related to materials engineering, propertiesand applications. She serves as a reviewer for more than 40 peer-reviewed journals. In addition, Dr. ZAWADZKA was a co-organizer, member of the scientific or advisory committee of many scientific conferences (AMPSECA, ICFPAM and ICTON), and still supports the organization of conferences for young scientists at her alma mater (Copernicus Doctoral Seminar) with over 300 participants per year. Recently, the prestigious US University of Stanford ranked the distinguished Doctor ZAWADZKA among the 2% of the best personalities of scientists who made the greatest impact on the scientific community in 2019,2020 and 2021 in their field.The Stanford classification was based on data from Scopus and the Web of Science.

Kamil Czelej received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology in 2018. Currently, he is employed at the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw, as Assistant Professor. His field of research includes computational materials science and solid-state physics, defects in wide band gap semiconductors, surface chemistry, catalysis and nanomaterials design. He is author of 18 per-reviewed papers in scientific international journals, 15 presentations at international conferences and three patent applications. He is currently working on point defects and their complexes in AlN and GaN for nanophotonics and quantum information processing applications using ab initio methods. He was awarded the scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Education in 2020 and the START 2018 stipend from the Foundation for Polish Science.

Noor irinah binti Omar has a Ph.D. from Toyohashi University of Technology in Japan (2021). She has been a senior lecturer at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka's Department of Manufacturing Engineering Technology since 2012. She has received 30 research awards, 18 papers in refereed journals, 2 book chapters, and 1 copyright. She has served on the editorial boards of several international journals and has collaborated on research with industry. She has been appointed as a consultant to develop cold spray technology for tank repair in Malaysia. Her areas of interest in research include metallic cold spray, ceramic cold spray, and surface characterization.

Dr. Qian Liu is an associate professor in Department of Chemistry at Fudan Unviersity, China. She got her Ph.D. from Fudan University in 2013. From 2013 to 2017, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children’s Hospital/MIT. From 2017 to 2019, she was a Research Associate in the Department of Physic at Stanford University working under the supervision of Professor Steven Chu. Her lab at Fudan University focuses on developing novel single molecule imaging and single particle tracking strategies to revel biological pathways and chemical reaction processes. Dr. Srinivasapriyan Vijayan obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2019 from National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST) and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) under the guidance of Prof. Zhiyong Tang. He is currently working at Huaqiao University. His research interest focuses on the design and synthesis of metal-organic frameworks for catalysis and energy conversion.

Pablo D. Esquinazi is professor emeritus at the Felix-Bloch-Institute for Solid State Physics, University of Leipzig in Germany. Dr. El-Shall received the Outstanding Faculty Award of the State Council of Higher Education of Virginia (SCHEV), Virginia's highest faculty honor in 1999; the Distinguished Research Award from the Virginia Section of the American Chemical Society in 2009; the VCU Distinguished Scholarship Award in 2011, and the VCU Award of Excellence in 2016. He was selected as a Jefferson Science Fellow and worked as a Senior Science Advisor at the U.S. Department of State in 2012-2013. Dr. El-Shall received the Virginia Outstanding Scientist in 2018 awarded by the Governor of Virginia. He is an elected Fellow of both the American Physical Society (APS) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Santosh S. Patil received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Shivaji University, Kolhapur (India), in 2016. After that, he conducted his postdoctoral studies at Chonnam National University, POSTECH, Kyungpook National University and INHA University (S. Korea). His research interests are focused on synthesis for nanostructured materials, thin films, photocatalysts, electrocatalyst, structure−composition−property control, and investigating the fundamental process of charge-carrier dynamics at the interface of these materials to increase the overall efficiency of operations particularly for catalysis, energy storage and conversion (hydrogen generation), gas sensing, wastewater treatment, and various other applications.

Nan Lv is an Associate Professor of Northeast Electric Power University, China.Shereceived her Ph.D. degrees from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2017.Her research interests include the synthesis of functional materials with optical, electrical and magnetic properties, the development of smart electronic materials, physical and chemical sensors. She currently focuses on the design and synthesisof integrated functional materials for flexible touch sensor based on three-point electric potentialmethod.

Marek Tkacz is currently a full professor at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. He received his doctorate in chemical sciences in 1984 and this year he received a post-doctoral scholarship at the University of Illinois at Champaigne-Urbana. In 1984-86 he worked as a research assosiciate in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the group of prof. H.G. Drickamer where he acquired expertise on novel, of this time, technique of high pressure- diamond anvil cell. After his return, he introduced this technique as a tool for the synthesis of new metal-hydrogen compounds in the laboratory of prof. B. Baranowski. In 2007 he was nominated full professor and later headed a research group dealing with the synthesis and pressure-induced physicochemical processe In 2015-2018 he was the Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He has published more than 100 papers in leading scientific journals, including Nature.

Tim has a BSc degree in Geology from Haverford College (1982), and MSc and PhD degrees (1984, 1989) from Brown University. He has worked in the geophysical since 1987. From 2001 to 2016 he was on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania, School of Liberal and Professional Studies (Department of Earth & Environmental Science) as an Adjunct Graduate Professor. He joined the faculty of Franklin & Marshall College (Department of Earth and Environment) in 2009 and is currently a Senior Teaching Professor and Director of Science Teaching and Outreach. His research includes international collaborations (including UK, Italy, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, China, Jordan and Mozambique) focused on humanitarian demining, long distance ancient maritime trade around the Indian Ocean, karst hydrogeology, and submarine groundwater discharge. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Sensing and Imaging, and formerly Hydrogeology Journal. Memberships include American Geophysical Union, Association of Engineering Geologists, Engineering and Environmental Geophysical Society, Society of Exploration Geophysicists, Geological Society of America (Fellow), and International Association of Hydrogeologists (appointed member of the Karst Commission). He is the 2020 winner of the Geological Society of America Public Service Award.

Panos Argyrakis (BS, University of Illinois (1973), PhD University of Michigan, 1978), Professor of Physics at the University of Thessaloniki, Greece (since 1985). Professor Bouchta SAHRAOUI was born in Morocco. He received a M.Sc. degree in Physics with from the Nicolaus Copernicus University (Torun, Poland) in 1992 and obtained his PhD degree in Physics in 1996 from the University of Angers (France) and from the Nicolaus Copernicus University with distinction in Poland (in 1998) the highest distinction in France and Poland. His PhD thesis concerned the third order nonlinear optical properties of new TTF derivatives. Professor SAHRAOUI joined the Laboratory of Optical Properties of Materials and their Applications (POMA) at the University of Angers in 1996. Professor SAHRAOUI obtained his habilitation diploma in 2001 from Angers University and since 2003 has held the position of Professor of Physics. Since January 2010 Professor Bouchta SAHRAOUI became a member of the Institute of Sciences and Molecular Technologies of Angers (MOLTECH Anjou, UMR CNRS 6200). Professor SAHRAOUI was promoted to Professor CEx (highest recognition in France) as distinguished Professor in September 2011. Professor SAHRAOUI is co-chair since January 2014 of the associated international laboratory LIA-NAPOLI («Nano photo-switching of organic materials with lights») bringing together the University of Angers and the Wrocław polytechnic of Science and Technology (Poland). Professor SAHRAOUI is a physicist specializing in nonlinear optical (NLO) materials and effects, nanophotonics, biophotonics, molecular photonic, as well as the electrical properties of molecular materials. He has extensive experience in diagnostics and investigations of NLO effects using short pulse lasers. Prof. SAHRAOUI conducted cutting-edge research into advanced materials such as new highly conjugated compounds (organic and inorganic) including biomolecules for photonics and energy applications. His publications address nonlinear electro optic effects, second and third order susceptibilities and molecular hyperpolarisabilities of organic and inorganic compounds (solution, bulk and thin films) using nonlinear-optical techniques (real-time holography, phase conjugation), nonlinear optical effects including optical limiting properties in organic polymers (dye-doped polymers, molecules) and nanostructured and multifunctional compounds (organic/inorganic and nanocomposites). His contribution to the dynamic formation of photoinduced structuration and nanostructuration was foregrounded by the journal Nature Photonics as a research highlight (Vol. 2, 2008). Moreover Professor SAHRAOUI organized more than 25 prestigious conferences as a chair or co-chair, for example AMPSECA 2017, ICNP 2018 and ICFPAM 2019, as well as two conferences with more than 500 participants (ICFPAM 2015, ICTON 2019) and the participation of prestigious and brilliant scientists including Nobel Price laureates. Sergey Ivashov, PhD, graduated from Space Research faculty, Moscow Institute of Physics & Technology, with honours in 1972; as post-graduate student he had successfully submitted the thesis for a PhD degree in 1975. He worked as a scientific researcher in rocket industry of the USSR in 1975-1977. Since 1977 up to 2000 he had been working in the Central Scientific and Research Institute of Radio & Electronic systems, Moscow, as a senior scientific fellow and thereafter he had been promoted for a head of Laboratory. He was awarded his degree in electronic engineering in 1988, his doctorate in non-destructive Testing in 1993 and post-doctorate in 1994. In 1995 he became Associate Researcher and in 2004 Associate Professor of Electronics in the Department of Information Engineering. His current research activities are in the design of ultrasonic guided waves devices, buried objects detection with ground penetrating radar and holographic radar. He has worked on several research projects in collaboration with national (Gilardoni spa) and international industries (National Semiconductors, Texas Instruments), and research institutions: the Italian Research Council (CNR), the Italian Space Agency (ASI) and the European Space Agency (ESA), AEA Technology and UKAEA (England), ISTC (International Science and Technology Centre) (Moscow, Russia), European Commission Joint Research Centre (Ispra) and NATO (Brussels, Belgium). He is coauthor of 6 Italian patents and coauthor of 4 book chapters and about 250 scientific and technical papers. He is IEEE senior member since 2007 and member since 1983. Co-chair of IWAGPR2015 conference and member of scientific and technical committee of GPR, PIERS and IGARSS conferences. Fellow of Electromagnetic Academy and Fellow British Institute of Non Destructive Testing.

Prof.Stefan Seeger studied chemistry at University of Heidelberg under Technical University Berlin. In 1992, he earned his PhD degree. He later studied Business administration at FernUniversität Hagen. In 1992 he established a research group for biophysical chemistry at the University of Heidelberg. After working as a postdoctoral student at the University of Lund in Sweden, he returned in 1994 to University of Heidelberg to finish his habilitation in 1997. Later that year, he was appointed as a professor for Biosensors at the University of Regensburg/Germany. In 1999, he was appointed at University of Zurich/Switzerland to a chair for physical chemistry. In 2001, he was appointed as the director of the Institute for Physical Chemistry. He has served as member of the board of the Chemistry Institute at this University. Seeger invented for example the surface sensitive analysis Supercritical Angle Spectroscopy techniques, Silicone Nanofilaments, and the DAGS chemical synthesis approach. He is the founder of technology companies, e.g. Molecular Machines & Industries, the leading provider of single cell isolation technologies.

Dr Fumin Huang is currently a senior lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast (School of Mathematics and Physics) in the United Kingdom. He received PhD degree in near field optical microscopy at King’s College London in 2005. He then worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Optoelectronic Research Centre of University of Southampton, where he experimentally observed peculiar optical superoscillation phenomenon and proposed ideas of developing superresolution optical microscopy in the far field without evanescent fields. From 2009 to 2013, he was a senior research fellow at the Nanophotonics Centre of Cambridge University, conducting research in the field of Plasmonics. He was appointed lecturer at the School of Mathematics and Physics of Queen’s University Belfast in 2013 and Senior Lecturer in 2019, where he discovered a novel exfoliation technique of 2D materials via gold surface, which can produce macroscopic monolayer films up to centimetre size. He has published > 40 papers, including many in high impact journals, such as Nature nanotechnology, ACS Nano and Nano letters.

Dr. Rafael Omar Torres Mendieta obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2016 at the University Jaume I, Spain, in Applied Physics. Afterward, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the same university in the GROC group co-leaded by Prof. Gladys Mínguez-Vega and Prof. Enrique Ataulfo Tajahuerce Romera. Later in 2017, he joined the Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation in the Czech Republic to work as an Assistant Professor in the field of nanomaterials development by sustainable technologies. He is currently the leader of the FEMTONANO research team, which focuses on unveiling the most complex details behind the synthesis and study of nanomaterials using ultrafast laser radiation. In addition, his interests extend to possible applications where laser-synthesized nanomaterials can be used, such as catalysis, bacteria eradication, water treatment, energy storage and conversion, smart fluids, and drug delivery, among others.

Dr. Esmeralda Uribe-Lam is a full-time professor and regional coordinator of postgraduate courses in engineering sciencesat the Tecnologico de Monterrey campus Querétaro in Mexico. Specialist in project and courses of materials engineering and high technologymanufacturing processes. Dr. Uribe-Lam is a mechatronic Engineer from the Tecnologico de Monterrey with amaster's degree in manufacturing systems from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, graduated with a project for the characterization and development of biodegradable composite materials. Her PhD is in engineering sciences from the Tecnologico de Monterrey, with researchin nanotechnology and nanomaterials. Researcher in nanostructured films, plasma-assisted techniques, surface engineering, biodegradable composite materials, biomaterials, and additive manufacturing of composites, polymers, and ceramics. Author of several scientific articles in indexed journalsand principal advisor for postgraduate thesis projects.

Associate Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico (Department of Mechanical Engineering) with a degree in Materials Engineering, 1991 and a Ph.D. Materials Science and Engineering in Instituto Superior Técnico, Technical University of Lisbon, 2004, which was carried out in partnership with the Politecnico di Torino, Italy. From the beginning of its research work (1996), he has worked with adding value to natural materials with increased functionality and sustainability. After his PhD in 2004, he dedicated to the following areas of research: i) advanced characterization of materials (composites, ceramics, natural stone, cork, …); ii) predictive wear analysis and development of models for the optimization of manufacturing processes using diamond tools; iii) product development, with a multifunctional nature, especially applying “design for manufacturing” models integrated with the final application; iv) development of logical systems and materials’ data bases for creating applications based in AI models. In the course of his work, he developed several products and applications that allow optimizing materials’s manufacturing processes, mainly through robotics and additive manufacturing. He is the author of more than 100 international publications, of which about 50 refer to publications carried out within the scope of journals referenced in the SCI. He has participated as a fellow in more than 15 R&D projects in partnership, half of which were carried out within the framework of the European Commission.

Rosalyn Abbott is an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering with a courtesy appointment in Materials Science and Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Professor Abbott received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and her Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering from the University of Vermont under the guidance of James Iatridis and Helene Langevin. She was subsequently a postdoctoral fellow in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Tufts University working under the supervision of Professor David Kaplan, where she developed adipose tissue engineered models. Her lab at CMU focuses on leveraging biomaterials and tissue engineering approaches to develop better soft tissue regenerative therapeutics and to study metabolic dysregulation during the complex transition of obesity to insulin resistant type II diabetes.

Nilson C Cruz received his PhD degree in Science from the UniversidadeEstadual de Campinas and since 2003 he is teaching at Paulista State University. Member of the Laboratory of Technological Plasmas, currently his scientific activities are mainly devoted to surface modifications of biomaterials by atmospheric pressure plasmas mostly Dielectric Barrier Discharges and Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation. He has published more than 130 papers, receiving more than 1400 citations.

Elidiane C. Rangel is as associated professor in the Science and Technology Institute of Sorocaba, UNESP, Brazil. As a physicist, graduated in 1992, she teaches disciplines of this area to the Control and Automation Engineering course at UNESP. As a doctor in Science by Campinas State University (1999), she ministrates disciplines of the material science field in the Material Science and Technology Graduation Program. Besides being a regular member of this program since 2006, she acted as its vice-coordinator from 2014 to 2017. She integrates the Laboratory of Technological Plasma at the Sorocaba unity of UNESP and the Plasma and Materials group, registered in the CNPq Brazilian agency. Her areas of research include materials or thin-film processing by plasma techniques (plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition, PIII, PIIID, sputtering, and etching) and characterization of their mechanical (nanoindentation), tribological (scratching test), chemical and structural (FTIR, XPS, and RBS), morphological and topographical (AFM and SEM), optical (ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy), thermodynamic (contact angle), and electrochemical (EIS) properties.

Dr. Zhuo Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Science at Fudan University. Her research interests include functional polymer composites for electronic packaging and stretchable electronics. She received her B.S. from Tongji University, her M.S. from Virginia Tech and her Ph.D. degree from Georgia Institute of Technology. Before joining Fudan, she worked as a Materials Engineer at Celanese Corp. and CNPC USA, respectively. She was a recipient of the Shanghai Pujiang Program (2017), Recruitment Program for Young Professionals (2018), Shanghai Rising Star Program (2020), and IEEE EPS Outstanding Young Engineer Award (2020). She published more than 50 papers in journals such as Nat. Commun., Adv. Funct. Mater., and received more than 2000 citations. Dr. Li serves as the technical committee for IEEE ECTC and IEEE ICEPT conferences, the president for IEEE-EPS Shanghai Chapter and the vice-president for IEEE-WIE Shanghai affinity group.

Dr. Hamdan is a professor of Physics at the American University of Sharjah (AUS), United Arab Emirates. Prior since 2002. Prior to that, he worked at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, UC-Berkeley as a beamline scientist and at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia H also held vesting positions at the National High Magnetic Field Lab (Florida State University), Western Michigan University and he holds an adjunct faculty position university of Illinois at Urban Champaign. His research interests are in material science including energy materials, perovskite photovoltaics and environmental pollution.

Mina Rais-Zadeh (S’03-M’08-SM‘12) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees both in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2005 and 2008, respectively. From 2008 to 2009, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2009, she joined the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). From 2014-2018 she had been a tenured Associate Professor in EECS with courtesy appointment in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. She is currently leading the MEMS and micro-instrument development activity at JPL as a group supervisor for the Advanced Optical and Electromechanical Microsystems Group.

Marko Rajda attended Classical Gymnasium in Zagreb. He enrolled at the University of Dental Medicine in Zagreb in 2006. Marko R. defended his theses in 2012 and obtained his license in 2013 after completing a one - year apprenticeship. From 2015. worked in joint practice as an additional doctor, employed by public clinic Zagreb Centar. He worked as a solo practitioner from 2015 to 2021 for the public clinic Zagreb Centar. In 2016 he enrolled in postgraduate study in the field of bio-medicine with the aim of earning his Ph.D. Marko R. is a resident at dental prosthetics at the University of Zagreb Dental medicine for Dental Clinic Perkovčeva, Zagreb. His main fields of scientific interest are the application of laser in the removal of hard dental tissues, disinfection, and removal of smear layer in root canals. He is a part of research in biomedicine in dental medicine, funded by the Croatian Science Foundation.

Mikihiko Oogane received Ph.D. degree in the Department of Applied Physics from Tohoku University, Japan, in 2003. From 2004 to 2010, he was a ResearchAssociate with the Department of Applied Physics, Japan, Tohoku University. Since 2010, he has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Applied Physics, Tohoku University, Japan. He is the author of more than 200articles. His research interestincludes the development of spintronic materials and devices. In particular, he has made remarkable achievements in the development and application of magnetic tunnel junctiondevices.

Tai Thien Huynh studied Chemistry at the Dalat University, Vietnam, and graduated with a Master of Science in Chemistry in 2009. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City - University of Technology (HCMUT). Dr. Huynh has been working at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of General Science, Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam from 2009 to the present. His main research interests concern new materials and their electrochemical properties for energy conversion, and fuel cells. Dr. Huynh focuses on the synthesis and characterization research of electrochemical catalysts to enhance catalytic activities, specifically for oxygen reduction reaction, alcohol oxidation reaction, hydrogen evolution reaction, electrochemical water splitting. He has published numerous research articles on the innovative design of catalyst materials for energy conversion in SCI(E) journals such as Materials Today Chemistry, Fuel, Catalysis Science & Technology, ACS Applied Nano Materials, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Scientific Reports,… Tai Thien Huynh is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Dr. Barak Ratzker is currently a postdoc fellow in the Materials Science and Engineering department at Tel Aviv University, Israel. His work focuses on processing advanced composite materials, including MMCs and CMCs based on MAX and MXene phase reinforcements and investigating their functional properties. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Materials Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel (2021), where he worked mostly on spark plasma sintering of transparent oxide ceramics and published over 15 papers in leading journals in the field.
