Professor Aibing Yu specialized in process metallurgy, obtaining BEng in 1982 and MEng in 1985 from Northeastern University, China, PhD in 1990 from University of Wollongong and DSc in 2007 from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is currently Pro Vice-Chancellor and President (Suzhou), Monash University, and Director of ARC Research Hub for Computational Particle Technology. He is a world-leading scientist in particle/powder technology and process engineering. He has authored/co-authored 1,000 publications (including ~800 collected in the ISI Web of Science), delivered many invited plenary/keynote presentations at various international conferences, and graduated 40 postdoc fellows and 100 PhD students. He is Executive Editor ofPowder Technology, Regional Editor of Granular Matter, and on the editorial board of ~20 learned journals. He is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards and fellowships. He was elected to Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering in 2004, Australian Academy of Science in 2011, and Foreign Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2017.

Dr. Kun Zhou is an associate professor in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He received his B.Eng. and M. Eng. degrees from Tsinghua University in 1998 and 2001, respectively, China and his Ph.D. from NTU in 2006. His research interests include additive manufacturing, mechanics of materials, and modelling and design for sustainable materials. He is Programme Director of Marine and Offshore in Singapore Centre for 3D Printing. He conducted research as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University, USA from 2007 to 2010. He was a visiting scholar in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University, USA in the summer of 2013. He has published over 350 papers in refereed journals and over 20 book chapters. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Smart Manufacturing, Co-Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Micromechanics and Molecular Physics, and an associate editor or editorial board member of eight international journals including Virtual and Physical Prototyping and International Journal of Fatigue. He has advised over 20 Ph.D. students and many of them are faculty members in reputable universities.

Ian Walker received the B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Hull, England, in 1983 and the M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1985 and 1989. He is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Clemson University. Professor Walker's research focuses on research in the construction, modeling, and application of continuum robots.

Zeev Zalevsky received his B.Sc. and direct Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Tel-Aviv University in 1993 and 1996 respectively. Zeev is currently a full Professor and the Dean of the faculty of engineering in Bar-Ilan University, Israel. His major fields of research are optical super resolution, biomedical optics, nano-photonics and fiber-based processing and sensing architectures. Zeev has published more than 530peer review papers, 330 proceeding papers, 9 books (6 authored and 3 as an editor), 31 book chapters and about 100 patents. Zeev gave 600 conference presentations with more than 200 invited/keynote or plenary talks. Burley Prize, Lotfi Zadeh Memorial Award and more. Besides his academic research activity, Zeev is also very active in commercializing his inventions into start-up companies. Zeev was and is involved in technologically leading of more than 10 startup companies.

Prof Zhang is a world leader in the areas of grain refinement of metals and crystallography of phase transformations and its applications in engineering materials, and is recognised as one of the top researchers in metals, including additive manufacturing and surface engineering. In the past years, he has received more than AUD16 million research funds, published more than 280 papers in top international journals, which have been cited over 8800 time, corresponding too his H-index of 55.

Professor Huijun Li has over 25 years of research experience in materials science and engineering. This includes expertise in the use of electron microscopy to study the microstructure of materials (particularly metals and ceramics) in areas such as phase transformations and structural evolution, additive manufacturing. He also has extensive experience in mechanical tests, failure analysis and materials development, as well as detailed knowledge of crystallography, welding metallurgy, line pipe steels, and shape memory alloys. As a Certified Materials Professional (CMatP) in Australia, ProfHuijun Li obtained a PhD degree in 1996 from the University of Wollongong; He has published 5 book chapters and more than 400 papers over his career in the field of additive manufacturing, welding metallurgy, new alloydevelopment, surface engineering, nuclear materials and microstructure characterization. Prof Li was awarded Australian Museum Eureka Prize for Outstanding Science in Safeguarding Australia, 2013, Australia Endeavour Fellowship 2014, and Defence Materials Technology Centre - Capability Improvement Award in 2014 and 2016.He was named in the 2019 Australian Research magazine as Australian Field leader in both Manufacturing & Machinery and Metallurgy. He was also received UOW Vice Chancellor Award - Research Partnership and Impact Award for the year 2019. Prof Li has recently been recognised as Australia’s top researcher in metallurgy in 2020 again.

Carolin Körner, born 1967 in Nuremberg, studied physics at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) from 1986-1991. As part of her work as a research assistant at the Department of Materials Science with Prof. H.W. Bergmann, she received her doctorate in 1997 with a thesis on the “Interaction of ultra-short pulse lasers with metals”. She then took over the leadership of the group "Lightweight Materials" at the chair of Prof. R.F. Singer and habilitated in 2007 with a thesis on “Integral foam molding of light metals”. In 2011, she was appointed to the Chair of Materials Science and Technology of metals WTM. In addition, she leads a working group at the Central Institute for New Materials and Process Technology ZMP and at Neue Materialien Fürth GmbH in Fürth. Her main areas of work are additive manufacturing, casting technology, alloy development and process simulation.

Thomas Weissgaerber is the director (provisional) of Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAM Dresden. His PhD degree is from Technische Universität Dresden. His expertise is on PM Technologies and Additive Manufacturing. He has been working on different groups of materials like metal matrix composites, dispersion strengthened materials, high temperature materials as well as lightweight materials. He published more than 200 articles and more than 18 patent applications. He was awarded with the “Skaupy Award”.

Manuel Belmonte received his Ph.D. degree (1995) in Chemistry from University Autónoma of Madrid, Spain, developing ceramic matrix composites with improved tribological and mechanical properties at the Institute of Ceramics and Glass (ICV-CSIC), Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). After about a six years industrial experience in Lucent Technologies Inc. (formerly AT&T)as R&D photolithographic engineer and more than two years as postdoctoral fellow at NIST (USA) and University of Aveiro (Portugal), he joined at ICV-CSIC in 2004 as senior researcher within the Technical Ceramics Group. His current research interests involve the design and development of multifunctional ceramic composites containing carbon nanostructures (nanotubes and graphene), and the 3D printing by robocasting of cellular ceramics and composites for energy and environmental applications looking for the development of more efficient processes, reducing the energy losses linked to friction phenomena and improving the conservation and re-use of waste heat in conventional systems.He has published about 130peer-reviewed scientific papers (h-index = 31). Besides, he is co-inventor of 4 patentsand lecturer in Master and Doctoral courses in national and foreign universities.

Roberto Torre received his Ph.D. degree in 2021 at Politecnico di Torino in Aerospace Engineering. During his doctoral career, Dr. Torre focused on Additive Manufacturing, with FFF/FDM as a specific target. His first concern has been to understand the structural behaviour of polymeric FFF/FDM printed elements to encourage their use in the production of functional components. His research activity won the quality prize for Ph.D. students in 2021. His research activities were mainly focused on additive manufacturing, polymers, hygro-thermal stress analysis, numerical and analytical solutions for shells, and UAVs. Currently, he holds a PostDoc position at the European Space Agency – European Astronaut Centre, where he is working on Advanced Manufacturing and In-Situ Resource Utilization. He authored 15 papers published in international journals and serves as a reviewer for many international journals. In addition, he is Guest Editor for a special issue of the Journal of Composites Sciences.

Dr Iulia Salaoru received a BSc (Physics), MSc (Physics) degree from the "Al. I. Cuza" University, Iasi, Romania, where she also awarded a PhD degree for her work on AIIBVI semiconducting compounds. Since completing her PhD, she has worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at: Emerging Technologies Research Centre, De Montfort University, Leicester; Centre for Bio-inspired Technology, Imperial College London; Nanofabrication Centre, University of Southampton and Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), University of Warwick. Currently, Dr Iulia Salaoru is anAssociate Professor (Materials Science and Engineering) in Engineering and Sustainable Development, Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK.

Stefan Riekehr studied Materials Science at the TU Clausthal in Germany and received his diploma in 1995. He directly joined the Helmholtz-Zentrum hereon GmbH, formerly Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, as project engineer and specialist for characterization of power beam welded metals. He is working now for 25 years in the field of characterization of (laser) welded materials and since 2000 he is the responsible scientist for the laser manufacturing laboratories at Hereon. The focus of his research lies on the influence of process parameters on the properties and the performance of laser manufactured light-weight materials.

Dr. Ugur Simsek received his B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from Yıldız Technical University in 2012. He obtained M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2016. He completedhisPh.D degree in mechanical engineering at the Vibration and Acoustics Laboratory (VAL) at Ozyegin University in 2021. Jürgen Eckert is Director of the Erich SchmidInstitute (ESI) of Materials Science of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and Chair Professor of Materials Physics at Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria.His main research interests are materials physics, metastable materials as well as design and synthesis of advanced high performance nanostructured materials for structural and functional applications. Birol Ozcevik received his B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from Yildiz Technical University in 2019. He joined Xiamen University as an Assistant Professor in December 2013 and was promoted to Associate Professor and Professor in 2016 and 2021, respectively. Dr. Orhan Gülcan received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 2003 and his MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Gazi University in 2010 and 2016, respectively. Dr. Jianxiong Zhu is an associate Professor from Southeast University, China. He received d Ph.D. from the University of Missouri Columbia in 2015. After that, he worked as assistant professor in Beijing institute of Nanoenergy and Nanaosysem. He also worked as postdoc in KAIST, Korea, and National University of Singapore for several years. His research interests are focused on 3D printing for functional sensors, MEMS zero-power sensor, wearable flexible sensor, and gas sensor.

Dr. Andrei POPESCU is an expert in laser materials processing trained in long term stages in prestigious European Research Centers. After his beginnings in laser thin films deposition, he expanded his interests in the use of high-power laser sources for cutting, welding and additive manufacturing of metals and composite materials. He is currently working with various companies in his country for developing or improving additive manufacturing technologies and implementing them in industry for automotive, constructions and medical applications. His current interests lie in directed energy deposition of metals and composite materials for 3D printing and cladding applications, implementation of generative design in additive manufacturing and analytical simulations of laser-matter interactions.

Dr. Marco Curtoreceived a BSc (Biomedical engineering), MSc (Biomechanics) degree from the University of Bologna, Cesena. His research started with the development ofdesign methods and geometric modellingof 3D printable scaffolds for Bone Tissue Engineering. He also awarded a PhD in the field of Mechanical Engineering & 3D Printing technology at the University of Portsmouth (UK). During his PhD, Marco Curto’s research focused on multi-material 3D printing of bio-inspired mechanical structures to understand how biological structures deal with a central issue in material science: developing composite materials where building blocks combine their respective contrasting mechanical properties in one functional material system.He is member of the “Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Research Group” at the University of Portsmouth andcurrently works as Research Associate for the European Interreg. Project “SeaBioComp”that aimto develop ecofriendly, bio-based 3D printable materials for marine applications.

Dr. Qamar currently works as a System Modeling Specialist at KAUST for Water Desalination and Reuse research center. He has vast experience in system design, predictive computational modeling, large data visualization, and high-performance computing on clusters and supercomputers. He has been actively involved in cutting-edge research in the field of Water Desalination and Reuse. He uses 3D printing technologies to rapidly prototype filtration components and modules, resulting in several patents and publications in highly reputable international journals. He is known as a key expert in feed spacer design in water research, a critical component in most water desalination technologies.

Dr. Yılmaz received his Ph.D Degree in 2018 from Gebze Technical University, Material Sceince and Engineering Department. His M.S and B.S. degrees in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Istanbul Technical University(2012) and Yıldız Technical University (2010) respectively. He had won the scholarship from Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and worked in University of Nottingham Advanced Manufacturing Technology Research Group for one year. After working as a researcher for 6 years in Gebze Technical University (2012-2018), he has started working at ALUTEAM (Aluminium Testing, Education and Research Centre) as an Asst.Prof. since 2018. His research interests include additive manufacturing, coating systems, surface modifications, aluminium and its alloys, biomaterials and mechanical testing. He published more than 40 scientific publications (journal articles, book chapters, projects and conference articles). Dr. Yılmaz is currently the General Secretary of Turkish Additive Manufacturing Association (TAMA).

Dr.Khaled Mohamed Khedher is currently Assistant Professorin Civil Engineering Department, in College of Engineering at King Khalid Universitysince 2018. Before, he worked as Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering for many years at the Universities (France, Tunisia, and Saudi Arabia). He has participated in many international and national conferences and symposiums linked to Civil Engineering and new technologies (GIS, Remote Sensing, and Geosciences). He has also worked on many articles and papers in ISI journals with high impact factor. Until now, more than 100 papers online published and accepted in ISI journals (Nature, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, MDPI, Wiley, Springer, and more…).

Roland Logé is an associate professor at EPFL, Switzerland, with a primary affiliation to the Materials Institute, and a secondary affiliation to the Electrical and Microengineering Institute. He is the head of the Laboratory of Thermomechanical Metallurgy, and holder of the PX Group Chair. Roland Logéis active in the field of processing and manufacturing of metals and alloys in the solid state, focusing on the ability to tailor microstructures, and the associated material properties. Topics of interest include recrystallization, precipitation, grain growth, textures and grain boundary engineering, phase transformations, internal stresses and cracking phenomena, with applications to bulk metal forming and laser based additive manufacturing. Dr. Andrei Sleptchenko is an Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Khalifa University and a member of the Khalifa University Research Center on Digital Supply Operations Management. His primary research interests are Decision Support, Operations Research, Digitalization of Maintenance Logistics, Business Data Analytics. Prior to his academic career in GCC, Dr. Sleptchenko worked for several years for different consulting companies designing Decision Support Systems in the area of Supply Chain and Transportation as well as a researcher in various Universities in the Netherlands and the USA.

Dr. Karin Ratschbacher obtained her PhD from the Montanuniversity Leoben in Austria for inventing and upscaling an industrial process to recycle Molybdenum, Niobium, Rhenium and Tungsten alloys, used in sputter targets. After her postdoctoral assignment at FEM-Research institute for precious metals, Karin Ratschbacher joined Modine Manufacturing Company as a vacuum brazing engineer for automotive coolers, working on an assignment in Shanghai. In 2019 she joined GfE Materials and Metals GmbH as Product Manager Powders and focuses on the atomization of specialized powders on an EIGA furnace.

Dr. Saja Al-Ajrashis a Post-Doctoral Research Associate for University of Dayton, Chemical and Materials Engineering. Her research focus is additive manufacturing of ceramic matrix composites. This involves synthesis, processing and characterization of hybrid ceramic materials. Her PhD’s research at University of Dayton was mainly about utilizing an innovative process to fabricate hybrid carbon-silicon carbide fibers. The process involves modifying the carbon fiber precursor by doping it with silicon-based materials. During her Ph.D. she published7 publications and presented in many prestigious conferences. In addition, she has experience in friction stir welding of aluminum 5000 series similar joints and aluminum/ copper dissimilar joints. Dr. Al-Ajrash has served as a peer reviewer for many domestic and international journals.

Dr Amina Ahmed Nacer graduated as a PhD in computer sceinces from the University of Lorraine (Nancy France). She received her Master degree in Services, Security and Networks from University of lorraine in 2013 and in Networks and distributed systems from University of Sciences and Technologies of Algiers (Algeria). She obtained her Graduation degree in Computer Science in 2010 from the same university. Her current research activities are focused on Business Process Management and cloud computing. She published several papers on these topics since the beginning of her thesis.

Dr. Amnon Shirizly graduated with a B.Sc. in 1989, M.Sc. in 1992 and D.Sc. in 1997 from the faculty of mechanical engineering, Technion Israel institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. During study (1990) were visiting scholar in the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. Since completing his PhD, he has worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Currently, Dr. Amnon Shirizly works in the Israeli industry, and a teaching fellow at the Technion (Mechanical Engineering), supervising graduate students in the Technion and Ben-Gurion university of the Negev. Dr. Shirizly is highly involved in AEAI (The Association of Engineers, Architects and Graduates in Technological Sciences in Israel) in the Laser forming technology group, the Welding group and active as the chief technologist in the Additive Manufacturing branch.

He completed his Bachelor, Master degree in Structure and Material Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology in 1995 and 1998, and then he got his PhD degree in Bridge Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2001, then for Post-doctoral research in Tongji University until 2004. His research interests include design theory for bridges and buildings, prestressing technology, durability of structure, and new material of civil engineering with new construction technology. He has published about 180 papers in journals, conferences and reports, and has more than 40 patents.

Dr. Omid Akbarzadeh Pivehzhani is working with Nanotechnology and Catalysis Research Centre since 2016. His main research area is heterogeneous catalysis and catalytic reaction engineering. He has spent 10 years in academic-industrial projects as a research officer and post-doctoral. Dr. Omid has worked 5 years in the oil and gas industry as a chemical engineer. He developed advanced smart catalysts, especially for the oil and gas industries. Dr. Omid has contributed to two PETRONAS Research Sdn Bhd industrial catalyst projects and worked on an international Airbus R&D project in NANOCAT. Currently, he is the PI of the graphene catalyst project at Hokkaido University in Japan, project member of FRGS grant in UTP and assigned to the NANOCAT center project. Dr. Omid was the Chairman, keynote speaker and organizing committee of many international conferences. He is currently the supervisor of three Ph.D. students from different countries. He has published many ISI papers; book chapters and has two approved and granted patents. Also, he has hands-on experience and passed several pieces of training on handling different types of equipment which are being widely used for material synthesis, characterization and performance evaluation. He is in close collaboration with other departments, government agencies and universities around the world. He is visiting researcher of Jiangsu University China and Hokkaido University Japan. He is a member of the society of petroleum engineers (SPE) and Senior Member of Hong Kong Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society. Omid awarded a full fellowship from UTP during Ph.D. and were involved for lab demonstrator and teaching in the different courses of chemical engineering. He awarded Silver Medal in 27th International Invention & Innovation Exhibition (ITEX 2016), Kuala Lumpur Convention Center in Malaysia and Silver Medal of Post Graduate Research Project in the 35th Science & Engineering Design Exhibition (SEDEX 35).

Dr. Bruna de Melo received her PhD from the Department of Engineering of Materials and Bioprocesses at the UniversidadeEstadual de Campinas, Brazil in 2019. Her thesis described the biofabrication of autologous 3D scaffolds prepared using platelet and leukocytes-rich plasma, hyaluronic acid and mesenchymal stem cells derived from human adipose tissue (hMSCs) aiming applications in bone and cartilageregeneration. As a postdoctoral fellow at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo, Dr. de Melo currently studies the influence of different biomaterials on the biofabrication of neural tissues using the 3D bioprinting technology, aiming the development of neurogenic niches in vitro useful in neurodegenerative diseases research.

Dr Wei Min Huang is currently an Associate Professor (tenured) at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. With over 25 years of experience on various shape memory materials (alloy, polymer, composite and hybrid), he has published over 190 papers in journals, such as Accounts of Chemical Research, Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, and Materials Today, and has been invited to review manuscripts from over 280 international journals (including Progress in Polymer Science, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Functional Materials, etc), project proposals from American Chemical Society, Hong Kong Research Grants Council, etc, and book proposals from Springer, Elsevier and CRC. He has published two books (Thin film shape memory alloys – fundamentals and device applications, Polyurethane shape memory polymers) and is currently on the editorial board of over three dozen of journals.

Javad Zarbakhsh is an Austrian Technology Leader and Career Mentor, born in Iran, and got his PhD in Computational Physics from Kepler University Linz, Austria. He is the President and Founder of Cademix Institute of Technology, Vienna, Austria and Professor of Computer Aided Design, Engineering and Manufacturing. He is also a Technology Matchmaker, Study Abroad Mentor, Jury of European Funding Programs and Career/HR Coach. He has years of experience as technology consultant with industries including Semiconductor, Photonics, Medical Engineering, Additive Manufacturing and Data Science. Since 15+ years, he was involved in European Technology Policy and continuously served as Austrian Delegate and Management Committee member in European actions, including COST-European Cooperation in Science and Technology, interdisciplinary domains, Materials, Physical and Nano-science, and ICTs. Nima Shamsaei is currently thePhilpott-WestPoint Stevens Distinguished Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University, where he is also the founding director of the National Center for Additive Manufacturing Excellence (NCAME), a NASA and NIST funded research center focused on advancing the additive manufacturing (AM) technology. NCAME is also one of the two U.S.-based founding partners of the ASTM International Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AM CoE). Prior to joining academia, Dr. Shamsaei spent many years in industry, including leadership positions, specializing in fatigue analysis and durability test development. Dr. Shamsaei then took his skillset to Mississippi State University in 2013 and initiated a research track in the AM field. The focus of his research was on the structural integrity of AM metallic materials, which is his continued primary area of interest at Auburn University. His research work has resulted so far in publishing over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings as well as 70+ technical presentations including 40+ invited talks or keynote/plenary speeches in the areas of fatigue, fracture, mechanics of materials, and AM material/part qualification.Several government agencies and private companies sponsor many of his research projects in order to advance AM technology for faster industrial adoption. He has served as the guest editor for the International Journal of Fatigue 1st and 2nd special issues on Additive Manufacturing in 2017 and 2019 and continues to organize multiple AM-related symposia and conferences in ASTM, TMS, and ASME.

Dr. Jasgurpreet Singh Chohan is currently working as an Associate Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering at Chandigarh University, India since October 2017. Dr. Chohan completed his doctoral research in improvement of surface characteristics of hip implants fabricated through 3d printing process. He has more than 12 years of experience in research and teaching at graduate and post graduate level. He has supervised one Phd Scholar, eight post graduate dissertations and currently guiding four PhD research scholars at Chandigarh University. His areas of specialization are Additive Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, Hybrid Machining, Biomedical implants, Advanced Composites, Metamaterials, Human Factor Engineering and Multi-criteria Decision Making. Dr. Chohan received prestigious CII Milca Award in 2020 for performing outstanding research and innovations in Additive Manufacturing. He has filed 6 patents, authored 4 books, 12 books chapters and published more than 70 articles in international Journals and Conferences.

Dr.N.Gokarneshan was born in 1964 at Tamil Nadu in India. He is a doctorate in textile technology from Anna university, Chennai. He has a teaching experience of over 23 years in various leading institutions. He also had a stint of over 8 years in textile industry. He is presently working with Dr.SNSRajalakshmicollege of arts and science as Dean of costume design and fashion. He has made many note worthy contributions in his field. He has authored 15 books, published over 100 articles in various leading scientific journals and has presented papers in a number of conferences. He holds a number of portfolios such as editorial board member in a number of journals, peer reviewer in journals, and has served as organizing committee member in many conferences. He has made contributions in multi disciplinary areas. He is also a recipient of a number of awards and recognitions for his outstanding contributions in field. His areas of interests are Fabric formation, Fabric design, Technical textiles, Textile science, Textile chemical processing and nano textile finishes.
