Surendra M. Gupta, Ph.D., P.E., is a Professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and the Director of the Laboratory for Responsible Manufacturing at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He received his BE in Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, MBA from Bryant University, and MSIE and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Massachusetts, USA. Dr. Gupta’s research interests span the areas of Production/Manufacturing Systems and Operations Research. He is mostly interested in Environmentally Conscious Manufacturing, Reverse and Closed-Loop Supply Chains, Disassembly Modeling and Remanufacturing. He has authored or coauthored twelve books and well over 600 technical papers published in edited books, journals and international conference proceedings. His publications have received over 14,600 citations (with an h-index of 61) from researchers all over the world in journals, proceedings, books, and dissertations. He has traveled to all seven continents viz., Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America and presented his work at international conferences on six continents. In addition, he has delivered plenary/keynote speeches in international conferences in several countries including Spain, The Netherlands, Denmark, France, Japan, Korea, Thailand, India, Taiwan, China, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Dr. Gupta has taught over 150 courses in such areas as operations research, inventory theory, queuing theory, engineering economy, supply chain management, and production planning and control. Mohd Ridzuan Ahmad (SM'15) received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor, Malaysia, in 2000 and 2004, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in micronano systems engineering from Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan, in 2010. From May 2000 to December 2001, he received a National Science Fellowship from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, Malaysia. From June to November 2002, he was a Research Officer in the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics, UTM. Since 2003, he has been a Lecturer in the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UTM. In 2017, he has been appointed as an Associate Professor and leading his own research cluster group known as MicroNano System Research Group. Leonid M. Fridman received an M.S. degree in mathematics from Kuibyshev (Samara) State University, Samara, Russia, in 1976, a Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from the Institute of Control Science, Moscow, Russia, in 1988, and a Dr. Sc. degree in control science from Moscow State University of Mathematics and Electronics, Moscow, Russia, in 1998. In 2014–2018 he served as a Chair of TC on Variable Structure and Sliding Mode Control of IEEE Control Systems Society. He is the recipient of the Harold Chestnut Control Engineering Textbook Prize of IFAC for his co-authored book ’’Sliding Mode Control and Observation’’, winner of the National University Prize at UNAM in 2019 and Scopus prize for the best cited Mexican Scientists in Mathematics and Engineering 2010. Professor Fridman served and serves as an associated editor in different leading journals of control theory and applied mathematics. He was working as an invited Professor in more than 20 universities and research laboratories of Argentina, Australia, Austria, China, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, and Spain. Currently, Professor Fridman is also an International Chair of INRIA, France, and a High-Level Foreign Expert of Ministry of Education of China.

Mergen H. Ghayesh received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 2013. He is currently an Assistant Professor with The University of Adelaide, Adelaide, Australia. His research interests include machine dynamics and mechanisms, system dynamics and control, dynamics of micro/nano-electromechanical systems, motion-based energy harvesters, flow-induced dynamics, and dynamical behavior of biomechanical organs. He has published more than 190 refereed journal papers in his areas of research. Robert Gao is the Cady Staley Professor of Engineering and Department Chair of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Since receiving his Ph.D. degree from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany in 1991, he has been working on physics-based sensing methods, stochastic modeling and machine learning techniques for improving the observability of dynamical systems such as manufacturing equipment and processesto ultimately improve process and product quality control. Prof. Gao is a Fellow of the ASME, IEEE, SME, and CIRP (International Academy for Production Engineering). He published more than 170 journal articles and holds 13 patents. He is a recipient of the SME Eli Whitney Productivity Award, ASME Blackall Machine Tool and Gage Award, IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society’s Technical Award, IEEE Best Application in Instrumental and Measurement Award, and NSF CAREER award.He is a Senior Editor for the IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics.

In 2011, Dr.Shahrum Abdullah was awarded asthe Professor in Department of Mechanical &Manufacturing Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Built Environment, UniversitiKebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia. Along the journey of his academic career, he completed his PhD (Mechanical Engineering) in 2005 from The University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.He is focussing the research work in the area of fatigue failure, FEA-fatigue analysis, damage mechanics, fatigue data analysis and also signal analysis. Prof. Abdullah led several research projects in the area of fatigue life assessment, and he has also published more than 400 articles in the journals indexed in WoS and SCOPUS. Hailiang Yu was born in Changsha, China in 1980. He received his BSc (2003) and PhD (2009) degrees in Materials Processing Engineering from Northeastern University (CN). He worked as Associate Lecturer at State Key Laboratory of Rolling and Automation from 2006 to 2011. Between 2009 and 2011, he did a postdoctoral at Tsinghua University (CN). Between 2011 and 2016, he worked as Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellowship and Research Fellow at University of Wollongong. Since 2016, he has been working as a professor at Central South University. He is the author and co-author of over 150 scientific papers and 3 books and 2 book chapter. He is a full time professor and researcher at the Digital Systems Department at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and since 2019 he is the Director of undergraduate mechatronics engineering program. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Control Theory from the University of Paris Sud XI, France; a M.Sc. degree in robotics and advanced manufacturing from CINVESTAV-IPN; and a B.Sc. in electronics engineering from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas. Dr Adrian Nicolae Branga received his PhD in Applied Mathematics at BabesBolyai University of Cluj-Napoca in February 2003. His current research concerns are Engineering Mathematics, Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, Modeling and Simulation, Scientific Computing, Applied Mathematics, Advanced Numerical Algorithms, Software Engineering. He is currently Associated Professor at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania. Between 2002 and 2010 he worked in the Software Industry as a Programmer Analyst at AMN Systems Ro, with the following technologies: C++, C#, ASP, PHP, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, CSS, JQuery, XML. Dr Mohammed A. Al Aqil is a Faculty Member in the College of Engineering at King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. He received his BSc. (Hons.) in Electrical Power Engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia (2012) and the MSc. & Ph.D. in Electrical Power Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester, UK (2015 & 2020). Professor dr. David W. Yarbrough (PhD Georgia tech 1966, MS 1961, Bch 1960), is Vice President of R and D Services, Inc., a testing and consulting company located in the United States. He is a Professor Emeritus of Chemical Engineering, at Tennessee Technological University, retired from the Faculty in 2002 as Department Chair. Dr. Yarbrough also served as a Research Staff Member (part time) at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory from 1979 to 2011. Dr. Karl (Ka-Kui) Tse received his bachelor in mechanical engineering in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, his master (with distinction) in mechanical engineering in Hong Kong Polytechnic University and PhD in Civil and Architectural Engineering in City University of Hong Kong. He also worked as a research fellow in the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore at National University of Singapore. He currently works as an Energy Modeller/Consultant in the Canadian construction industry and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Canada. He has extensive experience in whole building performance modeling, simulations and analyses in the Canadian building sector. Dr Abdul Mazid is a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering in the College of Engineering and Aviation at CQUniversity Australia, Melbourne Campus. He is specialized in Machine Tools, Design and Manufacturing, and Automation. He has over 30 year of consistent teaching and research experience in wider areas of Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics and Mining Engineering. Mazid’s main contribution to science is his hypothesis on vibration-based fatigue damage of high-speed spindle bearings using the method of scattered energy of vibrations. Total scattered energy of vibration is a proposed third parameter for vibration assessment in parallel to amplitude and frequency of vibrations. Opto-tactile robotic sensor development based on the principle of scattered energy of vibration and applying it in intelligent robotic manipulator design is another remarkable achievement. During his long academic career Dr Mazid has helped (paid-unpaid) many industries (in Australia and overseas) with their problems, consultancy and providing expert opinion in court cases. Dr. Eng. Anna Romańska-Zapała, assist. prof. Cracow TU, RD director Lbooking She graduated in 1995 at the Mining and Iron Production Academy (AGH)specializing in the Automatics and Robotics, completed PhD in 2001 with dissertation “Effect of vibro-acoustical inconvenience on quality of work by the operator of the machine” working at AGH. In 2013 started work at the Cracow University of Technology (CUT) to create first the “Laboratory for Integrated Control Systems” and next to create a system testing laboratory in a new heating, cooling and ventilation for low energy buildings (MLBE) (from 2014 to 2017). She was responsible for control and data acquisition system allowing different HVAC equipment to operate either work individually or in tandem with other andmeasure their field performance. Now, parallel to leading the laboratory of Microtronics at Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Cracow TU where she optimizes algorithms for steering and control of the HVAC processes in low energy buildings, she is also involved in the interdisciplinary team studying the field of ergonomics, and interactions between physical factors and psycho-physiological reaction of humans. In this case the ergonomics and high level of indoor comfort complements fields of electrical engineering to form a working continuum.

I joined the University of Salford as a Lecturer and currently hold this position in School of Science, Engineering and Environment. I completed my PhD in School of Chemistry, Physics and Mechanical Engineering at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. My PhD research was on emission reduction of diesel engines using a novel technique called non-thermal plasma technology and my BEng and MSc degrees were in mechanical and energy system engineering. As a Mechanical Engineer, my disciplines of expertise are in Automotive and Energy domains with the special interest on energy system analysis and low emission and smart vehicles. Due to the multidisciplinary nature of my research, I have worked with several universities and industries in variety of disciplines such as petroleum and gas engineering, aerospace engineering, environmental science, power engineering, robotics and computer science. My research has led to a number of funded projects as well as different publications in prestigious journal of the field and several conference presentations, industrial reports and invited talks.

My work is at the crossroads of experimental low Reynolds fluid mechanics and active matter physics. It focuses primarily on the underlying mechanisms leading to the directed motility of microorganisms (magnetotaxis, aerotaxis, viscotaxis), and their consequences on large scale transport when coupled to flow. In addition to the transport of these biological fluids, I recently got more involved in the transport of complex fluids and the development of biofilms in porous media (Currently European H2020 MicroMix project).

Ubaidillah earned his Ph.D. from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), under Malaysia Japan International Institute of Technology on 2016 with predicate of Best Post Graduate Student. His research career has been starting from 2007 during his master studies in which he worked on automotive and control. During his doctoral degree in 2013, he started to concern in smart composite material based on magnetorheology for smart structure application. His findings was potential to be implemented in automotive vibration absorption, seismic building, acoustic materials and so on. Some actuators were developed based on smart composite such as magnetorheological (MR) damper, MR brake, MR Bush, MR engine mounting, and MR liated in some professional membership namely foam sensors. Currently, he has been af IEEE, Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and Indonesia Engineers Society (PII). His international research networks cover Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Chech. He is currently serving as editor in chief Jurnal Teknik Mesin Indonesia (JTMI) and Jurnal Mekanika. He also has been appointed as reviewers in high quality international journals.

I am graduated in 2020 from institute of robotics and intelligent systems, Xian Jiaotong University, China, with a dissertation “precise control method of a prosthetic hand using sEMG signals ” during my master's degree I been awarded “2019年陕西省外国留学生三秦奖学金, Shaanxi Provincial Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students “Sanqin Scholarship". I awarded “优秀留学生, Excellent postgraduate Student for 2018-2019 of Xian Jiaotong University. I awarded ANSO scholarship for young talented schooler. Ammar Al-Jodah, PhD candidate Monash University. Ammar received the B.Sc. degree in Control and Systems Engineering from University of Technology, Iraq, and M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, USA. Currently, he is working toward the Ph.D. degree in the Robotics and Mechatronics Research Laboratory, Monash University, Australia. His research interests include large range micro/nanomanipulation mechanisms, laser interferometry based measurement systems, robust controller design, and real-time controllers.

Andrea Piga Carboni received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universitá Degli Studi di Cagliari (2001), MS degree In Mechanical Engineering in 2008, and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2015, both from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Currently, he is Adjoint Professor with the Department of Mobility Engineering, Federal University of Santa Catarina, in the campus of Joinville. His current research interests include analysis and synthesis of mechanisms, statics, and dynamics of machines and mechanisms, with emphasis on mechanical design and optimization of mechanical structures and machines. He is also involved in the Oceanographic Laboratory, developing underwater equipment for data collecting, as Towfish and ROV.

MOHAMED AHMED ESHAG received a B.S degree in electrical engineering (CONTROL) and an M.S degree in Mechatronics engineering from Sudan University of Science and Technology, Khartoum, Sudan, in 2009 and 2014 respectively. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in control science and engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China. His current research interests include global sliding mode control, boundary control, robust control, infinite-dimensional system control, and control theory with applications to robotics.

Hisham ElMoaqet is a currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the German Jordanian University, Amman, Jordan and also a Research Fellow with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. His current research interests include Physiological Systems Modeling and Prediction. In particular, he is interested in developing intelligent algorithms for the detection and prediction of sleep apnea, as well as developing novel interventional control systems for obstructive sleep apnea patients.

Jung-Chang Wang (J.-C. Wang) is a full Professor and Dean in the School of Marine Engineering (D.M.E.), National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU), Keelung, Taiwan, and is also the Director of the Thermal-Fluid Illumination Laboratory. He received his Bachelor and Master degrees from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and Mechanical PhD from National Taiwan University (NTU) in Taiwan in 2007. He has been teaching and researching on electronic heat transfer and renewable energy for more than ten years. He has published more than 100 research papers in international journals, conferences and patents, and edited five book chapters. His main research interest includes applied and software engineering in thermal-fluid science.

Dr. G. Prabhakar is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, V.S.B Engineering College, Karur. He obtained his B.E degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering, Krishnankoil, under Anna University, Chennai in the year of 2009 and M.Tech. degree in the specialization of Embedded Systems from Hindustan University, Chennai in the year of 2011. Then, he started his career as a DSP Design Engineer in Venmsol Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Chennai. There, he carried out iCanTek Korean Client projects in the domain of H.264 High definition standard video streaming for Network IP camera and involved in the design & development of PCM based face recognition algorithms. After two years, he change-over his career and started to work as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Syed Ammal Engineering College, Ramanathapuram. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in the year of 2018 under the faculty of Electrical Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. His areas of interest are Embedded Systems, Cyber Physical Systems, Robotics & Control, Nonlinear Control Systems, Mechatronics and Image & Signal processing and he has published more than 25 research articles around the world including reputed journal transactions like IET, Springer, Taylor & Francis and Elsevier. He filed and Published 5 patents in the field of electrical engineering. He has written and published 5 books under reputed publications. He has 10 years of experience in teaching and research. He acts as a referee in Science & Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology and also reviewed two proposals. He is a recognized Ph. D Supervisor of Anna University, Chennai, under Faculty of Electrical Engineering and also acting as Doctoral Committee Member for 3 Ph.D scholars. He acted as a resource person for AICTE sponsored FDP and STTP Programmes organized by various engineering institutions. He has received project funds from AICTE and Tamil Nadu State Council for Science & Technology to the worth of Rs. 5 lakhs. He acted as a Guest Editor for the Special Thematic Issue “Emergence of Electrical & Electronic Systems on Health Industry under the journal of Current Signal Transduction Therapy, Bentham Science Publishers, in the year of 2019. He is one of the Editorial Board Member in Journal of Marine Science, Bilingual Publishing owned by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Currently, he is acting as a Guest Editor for the Special Thematic Issue “Emergence of Electrical & Electronic Systems towards Cyber Physical Systems under the journal of Recent Advances in Computer Science and Communications, Bentham Science Publishers, 2020. He is an outstanding Reviewer in IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics, IEEE Transactions on Control System Technology, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation System, IET Control Theory and Applications, IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, IET Collaborative Intelligent Manufacturing, IEICE Transactions and Elsevier journals. His Google scholar h-index is 7 and i-10 index is 4. Recently, he has received “Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Award 2020 for Innovative Research” from the Society for Engineering Education Enrichment (SEEE). He is also a member in international societies like IEEE-CSS, ISTE and IET.

Dr. Neelesh Kumar Sahu currently working as Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering department at Medi-Caps University, Indore (MP) INDIA. He has done his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur in 2018; M tech in Mechanical Engineering from PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Jabalpur in 2012 and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from R.G.P.V Bhopal in 2007. His Area of research are machining of difficult to cut alloys, Optimization, Non conventional Machining, Condition Monitoring, and Nanofluids. He has published 14 papers in SCI/Scopus/Web of Science Journals. He has presented his research work on international platforms ASME, Boston, USA (2015) and BITS Dubai UAE (2017). He was associated in various research projects like “Nanofluids as coolant”; “Material deposition in EDM process”; “Cutting tool condition monitoring using virtual instrumentation” “machining of super alloys” and many more. He has also worked in cutting tool industry i.e. YG1 industries India Pvt. Ltd. and automobile industries namely Fleetgaurd Filters PVTLTD. He has 5 years of academic experience in including working in Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur NIRF Ranking 64 in 2017.He was deported in 2008 for hands on training on cutting tool manufacturing such as End mills, Taps, Drills and special tools in YG1 Co. LTD, Incheon, South Korea and New century Tool Corporation, Qingdao, China. He has various M Tech and PhD projects in the field of machining.

Dr.P. Sivasamywas born on February 3, 1990 in Srivilliputtur, Tamilnadu, India.He received his B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) from the Kalasalingam University. He received his M.E. (Engineering Design) and Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineering) from the Anna University, India. Since 2016, he has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Adhi College of Engineering and Technology, Sankarapuram, Tamilnadu, India. His field of interests includes Thermal Energy Storage (TES), Nanofluids, Phase Change Materials (PCMs), Nanomaterials and Composites. He has published 10 research papers in refereed international journals.
