Dr Qiao is a Chair Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials of the University of Adelaide (UoA). His research expertise is in nanomaterials for new energy technologies (electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, batteries). He has co-authored more than 430 papers in refereed journals with 56,900 citations and h-index of 123, Web of Sci). Roger M. Leblanc received his B. S. in chemistry in 1964 from Université Laval, Canada, and Ph. D. in physical chemistry in1968 from the same university. From 1968 to 1970, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Prof. George Porter, FRS, in Davy Faraday Research Lab, the Royal Institution of Great Britain. He was a professor from 1970 to 1993 at Department of Chemistry and Biology in Université du Québec à Trois Rivières, Canada. During this period, he was Chair from 1971 to 1975 at the same department, and Director from 1981 to 1991 at Photobiophysics Research Center. In 1994, he moved to University of Miami, where he has been a professor at Department of Chemistry since then. At University of Miami, he was Chair of Department of Chemistry from 1994 to 2002, and he is reappointed as Chair from 2013 to present. He is also Professor(Second Appointment) of the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami (Miami, Florida, USA) and Department of Physics, University of Miami (Coral Gables, Florida, USA). In addition, he is Senior Fellow of the University of Miami Center on Aging (COA) (Coral Gables, Florida, USA). Dr. Leblanc has very rich experiences in materials chemistry, especially in the area of preparation of new materials and their bio applications development. Dr. Chuan-Jian Zhong is working as Professor of Materials Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Catalysis, Electrochemistry and Nanotechnology at Binghamton University. He has done Ph.D from Xiamen University and he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Fritz-Haber-Institute. His research interest lies in Interdisciplinary areas of materials chemistry, analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, catalysis, and nanotechnology.

Dr. Jianping Xie is currently a Dean’s Chair Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at National University of Singapore (NUS). He received his BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, and his Ph.D. from the Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA) program. Dr. Xie joined NUS in 2010 and established the Noble Metal Nanoclusters research group. His group is known for the work on engineering water-soluble metal nanoclusters for biomedical and catalytic applications. Dr. Xie has 180+ publications, 18800+ citations, and an H-index of 72. His research interests include noble metal nanoclusters, nanomedicine, and nanocatalysis. Dr. Xie’s recent research award includes Highly Cited Researcher in Chemistry 2018 & 2019 (by Clarivate Analytics). Dr. Xie is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).

Associate Professor Kawi joined the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, National University of Singapore in 1994. For more than a decade, his research focuses on catalysis and membrane for CO2 capture & utilization and hydrogen production. Prof. Shu YIN received a B. S. degree in inorganic chemical engineering from the Dalian University of Technology in 1987. He received his M. S. degree in chemical metallurgy from the Institute of Chemical Metallurgy (ICM, latterly Institute of Process and Engineering, IPE), Chinese Academy of Science in 1990, then worked as a research associate for 2 years at ICM. He came to Japan and worked as a research fellow in the Hydrothermal Chemistry Research Laboratory, Kochi University in 1992, then became a research assistant at the Institute for Chemical Reaction Science (ICRS), Tohoku University during 1995-1997. He received a Ph.D. degree in applied chemistry from Tohoku University (research period shortened) in 1999. He has been a research assistant at the ICRS in 1999, then a lecture and associate professor at the Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials (IMRAM), Tohoku University in 2005, and then a full-time professor in 2016. He has authored more than 480 original research papers, contributed 25 book chapters/ review papers and 22 patents. His research interests include morphological control of nanostructured materials, photocatalytic materials, UV/IR-shielding smart window materials, 2D gas sensing materials, hydrothermal/solvothermal process, soft chemical synthesis etc.

Ning Yan received B.Sc. and PhD degrees in Chemistry from Peking University. After a Marie Curie Fellowship at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland, he joined the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore as an assistant professor in 2012 and was promoted to a tenured associate professor in 2018. Ning Yan works actively in advanced catalysis, renewable energy, and sustainable chemistry, for which he was duly recognized by recent awards from the Royal Society of Chemistry, American Chemical Society and National University of Singapore, among others. He is listed as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate in 2020.

Richard is Head of the Nanomaterials Lab, College of Engineering at Swansea, his hometown; also Professor, School of Physics, Nanjing University, China. His research on atomic clusters includes fundamental studies of atomic structure and dynamics as well as scale-up. Prof. Junwang (John) Tang is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Fellow of European Academy of Sciences and Professor of Materials Chemistry and Engineering in the Department of Chemical Engineering at University College London. Dr. Shi Xue Douis a Distinguished Professor at the University of Wollongong, the founding director of ISEM. He received his Ph.D. at Dalhousie University, Canada in 1984 andDSc at the University of New South Wales in 1998 and was elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Science and Engineering in 1994. He was awarded the Australian Government’s Centenary Medal in 2003 and Australian Order of Member in 2019 for his contribution to materials science and engineering, multiple Australian Professorial Fellowships from 1993 to 2011, the vice-Chancellors Senior Excellence Award in 2008, OutstandingPartnership Award in 2012, the Life Achievement Award from ASTS in 2018 and Lifetime Achever by Australian Research Magazine in 2020. He is named as a highly cited researcher in materials science by Thomson Reuters with citations of 54,000 and an h-index of 109 (Scopus). His research focuses on energy and electronic materials. He has supervised and co-supervised 100 PhD students, more than 60 postdoctoral and visiting fellows. He is program leader for Auto CRC 2020 on electrification program and the on-going ARENA 2016-2020 on smart sodium storage system program.

Dr. Leslie Yeo is a Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering at RMIT University, Australia. He received his PhD from Imperial College London in 2002, for which he was awarded the Dudley Newitt prize for a computational/theoretical thesis of outstanding merit. Prior to joining RMIT, he was a Mathematical Modeller at Det Norske Veritas UK and a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, USA, after which he commenced a faculty position at Monash University. In addition, he also held the Australian Research Fellowship and Australian Research Council Future Fellowship from 2009 to 2017. Dr Yeo was the recipient of the 2007 Young Tall Poppy Science Award from the Australian Institute for Policy & Science ‘in recognition of the achievements of outstanding young researchers in the sciences including physical, biomedical, applied sciences, engineering and technology’, both the Dean’s and Vice-Chancellor’s awards for excellence in early career research at Monash University, and the Vice-Chancellor’s award for research excellence as well as the university’s award for research innovation at RMIT. His work on microfluidics has been featured widely in the media, for example, on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s science television program Catalyst, 3RRR and SBS radio broadcasts, and in various articles in The Economist, New Scientist and The Washington Times, in addition to being highlighted in Nature and Science. Dr Yeo is co-author of the book Electrokinetically Driven Microfluidics & Nanofluidics (Cambridge University Press), and the author of over 235 research publications and 25 patent applications. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the American Institute of Physics journal Biomicrofluidics and an editorial board member of Interfacial Phenomena & Heat Transfer and Biosensors. Besides uncovering and elucidating new fundamental physicochemical microscale and nanoscale phenomena, Dr Yeo’s current research interests are centered around the development of acoustomicrofluidic technologies for diverse applications that span nanomedicine and drug delivery, biosensing and point-of-care diagnostics, biomaterials and tissue engineering, and the synthesis of novel nanomaterials.

Dr. Sun became a Full Professor of Chemical Engineering at ECU in November 2017. He joined ECU in March 2016 as an Associate Professor through the global campaign of Vice-Chancellor’s Professorial Research Fellowship. Prior to that he had worked at Curtin University for over seven years, with the position of Research Fellow (Level A, 2009-2012), Curtin Research Fellow (Level B, 2013-2014) and then Senior Research Fellow (Level C, 2015-2016). He has been an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University since 2016. Ho Won Jang is afull professor in Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Seoul National University. He earned his Ph.D from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Pohang University of Science and Technology in 2004. He worked as a research associate at University of Madison-Wisconsin from 2006 to 2009. Before he joined Seoul National University in 2012, he worked at Korea Institute of Science and Technology as a senior research scientist. He is a member of Young Korean Academy of Science and Technology. His research interests include materials synthesis and device fabrication for solar fuel generation, chemical sensing, nonvolatile data storage, neuromorphic computing, plasmonics, ferroelectronics, and metal-insulator transition. Associate Professor Yan Jiao is an Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow. She received her PhD from the School of Chemical Engineering at The University of Queensland (UQ) in October 2012. After graduation, she joined the School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials, the University of Adelaide (UoA) as a research fellow. In 2019, she became an academic staff member of the school. A/Prof Jiao is an expert in the field of computational electrochemistry and materials design for clean and sustainable energy conversions. Her research interest is using computational electrochemistry to study electrocatalytic reaction mechanisms on various materials' surfaces. She also aims to design highly active and highly selective catalysts for electrochemical clean energy conversion reactions, including hydrogen evolution reaction, oxygen reduction/evolution reaction, CO2/N2 reduction reaction, and batteries. The results from her previous studies are pioneering and have been published in top tier journals, such as Nature Energy, Nature Communications, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Energy and Environmental Science, and Chemical Society Reviews. So far, she has published more than 70 journal papers and a book chapter, which have collectively attracted more than 20,000 citations (h-index of 49). She was recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher (Chemistry) by Clarivate Analytics in 2019 and 2020. Dr.Ivan Kozhevnikov is Professor in Chemistry Department of Liverpool University, UK. He is engaged with research into catalysis, from homogeneous to heterogeneous. In particular he is recognized as a leading expert in catalysis by polyoxometalates. Recent research activities have been focused on multifunctional catalysis for the synthesis of chemicals and fuels from renewable feedstocks. He has been recipient of many international and UK research grants and engaged in collaboration with industrial companies in the UK and abroad. Kozhevnikov has (co)authored over 300 publications, including research papers, reviews, three books and filed 35 patents. He has given plenary and keynote lectures and chaired sessions at major catalysis conferences and schools worldwide.

Prof. Hyoyoung Lee has completed his Ph.D. at the Department of Chemistry, University of Mississippi, the USA in 1997. He did his postdoctoral studies at North Carolina State University. He worked at one of the national laboratories (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, ETRI) and then moved to Dept. of Chemistry, Sungkyunkwan University as a full professor. He successfully served as a director of the National Creative Research Initiatives program for 9 years. Currently, he has served as an associate director of Centre for Integrated Nanostructure Physics (CINAP), Institute of Basic Science (IBS) at Sungkyunkwan University. His research interest is a chiral induction of the racemic mixture by the polarized light, 0-2D semiconductors including holey graph-yne/-ene, graphene quantum dots, transition metal dichalcogenides and transition metal oxides including Hyoyung Lee’ blue TiO2, and their applications for energy conversion including water splitting, CO2 and N2 reduction reactions, catalysis and energy storage. He has written more than 180 journal articles in top-tier journals.

Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has been retired due to the age limit of 67; following academic life of 45 years. He published over 60 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 120 conferences and symposia in international and national level as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited speaker, speaker or Poster presenter. He served the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. In particular, he joined in last even years (2014 - 2020) over 80 conferences as Speaker, Keynote Speaker and Conference Co-Chair organized by different companies in different countries. Additionally, he retired at the end of November 2019, and contributed with Keynote/Plenary Speeches to 12 Virtual/Webinar Conferences in the first year of his retirement, 2020. Dr. Adiguzel served his directorate of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Firat University in 1999-2004. He supervised 5 PhD- theses and 3 M.Sc theses. Dr. Hong Li is currently a Nanyang Assistant Professor in School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Before he joined NTU in June 2016, he was a postdoc in Stanford University in United States. His research focuses on catalysis for energy conversion and storage, including hydrogen generation, biomass valorization and batteries. Dr. Li has published more than 60 peer-reviewed papers in international journals including Nature Materials, Nature Communications, Nano Letters, Journal of American Chemical Society etc. His publications have received more than 11, 000 citations

Dr.Eric Kennedy obtained his BSc and PhD in Physical Chemistry from UNSW (Sydney). Following a year as a Research Fellow at Macquarie University, he moved to the USA, where he was Research Fellow at Texas A&M and then Yale University. He joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at The University of Newcastle in 1994. and was promoted to Professor in 2006. His current interests include the CO2 utilisation by mineral carbonation, non-destructive treatment of fluorine wastes, catalytic conversion of ventilation air methane and catalytic conversion of methane to hydrogen and benzene in a non-equilibrium plasma.

Dr. Maria A. Goula is a professor of Catalysis at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia and Director of the Laboratory of Environmental Catalysis and Alternative Fuels (LAFEC). She is also a collaborating member at the Hellenic Open University for the ‘Catalysis & Protection of the Environment’ MSc program. Prof. Goula obtained her Diploma (Chemistry) in 1987 and her Ph.D (Catalysis) in 1993 from the University of Patras. From 1993 – 2000 she worked as a research fellow at the CPERI/CERTH. Her research interests focus on Heterogeneous and Environmental Catalysis, Catalysts’ Synthesis, Surface Characterization, Hydrogen, Syn Gas and Bio-Fuels Production, Sustainable Biomass Utilization and Air Pollution Control Technologies. She is author of 60 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and 180 proceeding papers in international (125) and national (55) peer-reviewed conferences. Her research work has been cited over 1800 times and her H index is 21. She acts as reviewer for more than 100 scientific journals. She has supervised 7 Ph.D. and over 30 MSc awarded studies. She has participated in 7 inter. projects and 18 national projects (Coordinator in 5). She has also been awarded two (2) industrial contracts. She has been Head of Department (2004-2008), and Vice-Head (2008-2012, 2014-2016, 2019-Present), Vice Dean of the School of Technological Applications (2007-2008), Lab. Director (2004-Present), and member of the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation board (2018-2020).

Dr. José Miguel Molina Jordá completed his Ph.D. from the University of Alicante (UA, Spain) and postdoctoral studies from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland). He has been Professor (tenured) of Inorganic Chemistry at the UA since 2018. He has published more than 75 articles in the area of Materials Science in reputed journals and has participated in more than 150 communications. He has participated in more than 35 projects, 8 of them as principal researcher. He is the co-inventor of three family patents and the sole inventor of one family patent, currently extended to Europe, the USA, and Russia.

Dr. Anne M. Gaffney is the Chief Science Officer of Idaho National Laboratory and Distinguished National Lab Fellow (2014 – present). She has thirty-four years of experience working in industry inventing and commercializing new technologies for major chemical manufacturing companies including Koch Industries, Lummus Technology, Dow, Dupont and ARCO Chemical Company. She has authored 155 publications and 256 patents. Dr. Gaffney is also a distinguished Joint Appointment Fellow at the University of South Carolina (2018 – present) where she is the Technical Director of the National Science Foundation Center for Rational Catalyst Synthesis. Some of her recent awards include: the 2019 American Chemical Society, Energy & Fuels, Distinguished Researcher Award in Petroleum Chemistry; the 2015 Eugene J. Houdry Award of the North American Catalysis Society; the Chemical Heritage Foundation, Women in Science Inductee, 2014; and the American Chemical Society, Industrial Chemistry Award, 2013. Dr. Gaffney received her BA in chemistry and mathematics from Mount Holyoke College and her Ph.D. in physical organic chemistry from University of Delaware.

Prof. Grzegorz Boczkaj is an associate professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, Gdansk University of Technology (GUT), Poland. He obtained a PhD (2012, with honors) in chemical technology (chemical engineering) at GUT and habilitation in technical analytics (2017). He is the leader scientist of research group working on new developments in the field of separation techniques, chemical engineering, environmental science as well as analytical chemistry. He was a project manager (principal investigator) of several research projects (in total above 1 mln $). Currently he is a head of two research projects financed by National Science Centre (NCN, Poland) – first focused on new developments based on application of Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs) and second focused on chemical transformations taking place under cavitation conditions. He has published over 100 journal articles, book chapters and technical reports. He is a one of most active scientists on ResearchGate with RGscore(2021) exceeding 100. He was recognized as top peer reviewer in several categories according to Publons.

Dr Stefan Boron graduated in Applied Physics in 1970 and after obtaining a doctorate on the “Formation of flowing aerosols and characterization of their particle size distributions” at Heriot- Watt University in Edinburgh he took up employment there in the Department of Chemical Engineering in 1976. His subjects included Process Control and Thermodynamics and from the early Eighties until his retirement in 2006 he developed courses at all levels undergraduate and postgraduate in pollution control and environmental and sustainability management. As founder member of the Total Sustainability Management (TSM) organization he, along with his colleague Keith Murray developed the TSM approach to sustainable development and sustainable processing, which has become embedded in Chemical Engineering Design at Heriot-Watt both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Since 1991 Stefan has been instrumental in setting up and running an M.Sc postgraduate program on TSM both at Heriot-Watt and with an input in the masters teaching at Ecole du Mines in Nantes, France. After his “official” retirement in 2006 he has continued his research and teaching in sustainability management to this day, developing and refining the approach as honorary assistant professor.

I am a Chemical Industrial, DSc, and I have 23 years of experience in the field of DOE and Organic Processes. I am a Full Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and Head in the Department of Organic Processes at the Chemistry School. I am a founder and Head of the laboratory for development and optimization of organic processes called DOPOLAB belongs to the CENPES/Petrobras Analysis Network and accredited by ANP. The research group coordinated by me at DOPOLAB have focused on chemical / technological development, involving the application of organic chemistry concepts and design of experiments associated with the optimization of organic industrial processes working on projects with companies. I am the autor of more than 100 scientific works and I having been a tutor of more than forty master's, doctoral theses and final projects in the areas of development of evaluation methodologies and chemical characterization of petroleum and its derivatives; application of design of experiments (DOE) in the development and optimization of products like drugs, petrochemicals and additives and segregation and minimization of organic effluents with the evaluation of the viability of component recovery.

Naveed Ahmed Azam is currently a postdoc researcher at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Physics, Kyoto University, Japan. He completed his Ph.D. from Kyoto University as a JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) research fellow in 2021. He received M.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees in 2011 and 2013 from Quaid-i-Azam University, respectively. He is a recipient of the Chancellor Gold Medal and Vice-Chancellor Gold Medal in M.Sc. and M.Phil. from Quaid-i-Azam University. His research interests include Combinatorial algorithms, Applied mathematics, Combinatorial optimization, and Cryptography.

Ying-Ying Gu received her B.S. and M.S. degrees, in 2003 and 2006 respectively, from the Department of Environmental Science & Engineering, Ocean University of China. She obtained the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Civil Engineering, the University of Hong Kong, in 2011. From 2011 to 2014, she joined China University of Petroleum (East China) as a lecturer and from 2015 to now she worked in the College of Chemical Engineering as an associate Professor. In 2019, she joined in the Third International Clean Energy Top Innovative Talents Training Project sponsored by China Scholarship Council (CSC). Her general research interests are in the area of soil remediation and waste minimization and recycling. In particular, her current research focuses on advanced oxidation, electrochemical remediation, electrocatalysis and microbial photoelectrocatalysis.

Yu Wenzheng, male, researcher, PhD supervisor, and project team leader of the Ecological Environment Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Won the EU "Marie Curie International Scholars" Fund. Undergraduate studies at Wuhan University majoring in water supply and drainage engineering, and then recommended to Harbin Institute of Technology for master and doctoral studies. The tutor is Academician Li Guibai. During the doctoral period, he was jointly trained for one year at University College London (UCL) in the United Kingdom. The tutor was Professor John Gregory, an authority in the field of flocculation. In 2010, he joined the research group of Academician Qu Jiuhui of the Ecological Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as an assistant researcher. At the end of 2012, he was funded by the EU "Mary Curie International Scholars" Fund. In 2013, he began to engage in scientific research at Imperial College London. Back to work in the Ecological Center in January 2018. Researcher Yu Wenzheng has been engaged in research on the reaction mechanism and innovative technology of drinking water purification process, especially in the aspects of flocculation mechanism and membrane pollution control. His academic achievements have published 38 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author, and 26 papers with an impact factor of >6. He has published more than 20 papers as the first or corresponding author in ES&T, Water Research, and Journal of Membrane Science.

Dr. Lou is a Professor at Jiangnan University, focusing on energy and environmental catalysis. Dr. Lou was a postdoc at University of Calgary and Arizona State University (2019. 1 ~ 2015.1). Dr. Lou earned his doctoral degree of industrial catalysis from East China University of Science & Technology in June 2014. As the first and corresponding author, he has published 24 SCI-collected papers in JACS, ACS Catal., Appl. Catal. B: Environ. and other academic journals of chemical industry and catalysis; He presided over the National Natural Science Youth Fund, Jiangnan University Startup Plan and Enterprise Projects. He served as a committee member of the Rare Earth Catalysis and Process Professional Committee of China Chemical Industry Society and an editorial board member of Science Journal of Chemistry

Leonardo de Assis has a background in Electrical Engineering and recently received his Doctorate degree in Automation and Systems Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2020). His thesis concerned the development of Mixed Integer Programming models and solutions strategies for managing the supply of crude oil from offshore platforms to refineries. Currently, Leonardo is a modeling specialist at Aurubis and develops decision-making tools based on mathematical programming models to support Aurubis’ operations and business processes

I am engaged with investigation into heterogeneous catalysis. My recent research activities have been focused on acid catalysis, multifunctional catalysis, selective oxidation, hydrogenation. I co-authored more than 17 research papers. Outside research, I am certified by the National Centre for Academic Accreditation, Assessment (NCAAA) in KSA as an external reviewer for academic quality assurance of chemistry programs. I am interested in chemistry curriculum development and assessment in chemistry programs.

Roberta Amuso obtained MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology in November 2015 at University of Calabria. After degree, worked with a research scholarship at Institute on Membrane Technology (ITM) of the CNR (National Research Council), based in Rende (CS), in the Campus of the University of Calabria, within the project “Integrated aquaculture based on sustainable water recirculating system for the Victoria Lake Basin (VicInAqua)" for Development of membranes with integrated redox catalysts by molecular modeling. Currently is a PhD student at LISOC (Laboratory of Industrial and Synthetic Organic Chemistry) under the scientific supervision of Prof. Dr. Bartolo Gabriele, in Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies of University of Calabria. She deals with the research of new catalytic approaches for the synthesis of high value added products. During the PhD, she worked at Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (Likat) in Rostock, Germany, with supervision of Prof. Dr. Matthias Beller in the field of Applied Homogeneous Catalysis, in particular “Hydrogen-borrowing“ concept.

Jaime F. B. Puna has completed his PhD in 2014, at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, regarding biodiesel production under heterogeneous catalysis. He is Adjunct Professor at ISEL, in the Chemical Engineering Department, with more than 20 years of experience. The research interests are addressed to the fields of bioenergy, waste valorisation, biofuels, heterogeneous catalysis, and nano materials. He has published more than 25 papers in reputed scientific journals with referee, 2 book chapters, 60 international scientific events with referee and, has been supervisor of several PhD and MSc thesis regarding these issues. He is responsible for the Chemical Technology Lab at ISEL. He was PI researcher of I&DT projects related with biofuels and green heterogeneous catalysts.

Haigang Wang is a professor and scientist in the Institute of Engineering Thermodynamics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he also received his PhD in the same field. He was working with the University of Manchester as research associate during 2005 and 2010. Haigang Wang’s research interests include flow dynamics simulation and measurement of multi-phase flows, mathematical modeling and process control for fluidized bed drying processes, process tomography and 3D image reconstruction software developing, and monitoring and control for granulation, drying and coating processes in the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Wang has participated in several key projects funding by EPSRC, TSB in UK and NSFC projects in China related with energy, petrol and pharmaceutical industry. He has been shortlisted as a finalist for the IET Innovation awards (highly commended for the IET Innovation Awards for Measurement in Action for 2009). He has published more than 120 scientist papers including the best paper award in international process tomography conference in 2008 in Poland and one international patent which has been demonstrated in GEA-Aeromatic in Switzerland and UK, AstraZeneca in Sweden and DuPont in USA. He has given several keynote lectures in international conference including 2014 IEEE Imaging System and Technology Conference in Greece, 2015 Asian Particle Technology Conference in South Korea and 2018 World Congress on Particle Technology Congress in USA. He is further a member of AIChE and IEEE and referees for several international journals, including AIChE Journal, Chemical Engineering and Science, Measurement Science and Technology, Flow Measurement and Instrumentation., Fuel & Energy and Journal of Mathematical Imaging and Vision

Dr.Qijun Zheng is a research fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Monash University. He received his bachelor degree from Department of Civil Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2005 and master degree from School of Aerospace in 2008. He received PhD degree from School of Material Science and Engineering at University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2013 and then worked in the Laboratory for Simulation and Modelling for Particulate Systems (SIMPAS) at Monash University. His research Interests include computational modelling of particulate materials, process optimization and control, multibody dynamics, fluid-structure interaction. He has published over 20 papers on Q1 journals including Physical Review Letters, Chemical Engineering Science, AIChE, with total citations >400.

Dr.Yoichi Kumada has completed his PhD from Kobe University, JAPAN and postdoctoral studies from Okayama University (JAPAN) and University of Natural Resources and Applied Lifescience (Austria). He is associate professor of Kyoto Institute of Technology, department of Functional Chemistry and Engineering. He has published more than 55 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute.

Mr. Suresh Aluvihara is a postgraduate scholar at the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He has received his B.Sc. (Hon’s) degree in the year 2017 from a state university in Sri Lanka. Dr.Ashok Kumar Basak received his master’s degree from Gauhati University, Assam in 2001. During doctoral research (Apr 2002-Feb 2008) under the supervision of Dr. J. S. Yadav at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, he worked on natural products synthesis and accomplished an asymmetric total synthesis of (+)-erogorgiaene (an anti-tubercular agent) that relies on highly intramolecularFriedel-Crafts alkylation reaction of an oxetane derived via a synaldol. During first post-doctoral research (Mar 2008-Mar 2010), Dr.Basak worked with Prof. Marcus A. Tiusinthe University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA on the development of organocatalytic asymmetric Nazarov cyclization that leads to highly substituted cyclopentenone rings with contiguous stereogenic centres, one of which is an all carbon quaternary centre.He also worked on indole-interrupted Nazarov cyclization, imino- and aza-Nazarovcyclization using a chiral 1,2-diamino cyclohexane scaffold. Later on, he moved to University of California at Santa Barbara, USA to work with Prof. ArmenZakarian on the total synthesis of biologically active Tatanans A-C. After second postdoctoral study, he came back to India and worked as a research scientist (Dec 2011-Sep 2014)in medicinal chemistry projectssponsored by Elli Lilly and Johnson & Johnson for the identification of lead molecules at Jubilant Chemsys Limited, Noida. He started his independent academic carrier as an Assistant Professor under the UGC-Faculty Recharge Programme in the Department of Chemistry, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur in Sep 2014. He moved to Banaras Hindu University in Nov 2017 and currently working on SERB and CSIR-funded research projects on the development of novel annulation reactions to generate biologically important novel molecular entities. Dr. Anand Kishore Kola has completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Warangal, Telangana, India and postdoctoral studies from IST, Lisbon, Portugal. He served as the Head of Chemical Engineering Department at NIT Warangal. He has published around 90 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as Professor of Chemical Engineering at NIT Warangal.

Nasar Mansir was born on 13th October 1979 at Charanchi town, Katsina state Nigeria. He attended Charanchi Model Primary school, and later Government Day Secondary School Charanchi. Thereafter, he proceeded to Government College Katsina and Government Science Secondary School Dutsinma, respectively. Nasar obtained Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Pure Chemistry from Bayero University, Kano Nigeria in January, 2009. After one year of mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), he proceeded to the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom where he obtained Master of Science in Petroleum Geochemistry in 2011. Nasar is employed as a Lecturer in the department of Chemistry, Federal University Dutse, Jigawa state Nigeria in June 2013. Two years later, He was applied and accepted for PhD position in the field of Catalysis (Chemistry) under the supervision of Prof Taufiq-Yap Yun Hin at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and successfully completed the program in February, 2018. Nasar is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at Universiti Putra Malaysia and published many research and review articles in the referred journals.

Giselle de Araujo Lima e Souza is a chemical engineering, graduated from the Federal University of Viçosa (Brazil) in 2017. She has solid experience in process simulation focused on biofuels production. Her master's degree was obtained in 2019 at the University of Campinas (Brazil), developing deep eutectic solvents (DES) for the separation process, especially extractive distillation. She performed thermodynamic studies of systems containing DES using experimental and computational tools. In 2019 she started her Ph.D. studies investigating protic ionic liquids as alternative solvents for electrochemical devices. This project is a partnership between Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and the ENEA (National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development).

Dr. Federico Zappaterrais a molecular biologist who is undertaking a Ph.D. in biomedical and biotechnological sciences; His work concerns the development of enzymatic modification protocols for poorly bioavailable active ingredients of pharmaceutical and agri-food interest. His expertise deals with free and immobilized enzymes for the esterification ofactive compounds using a green eco-sustainable approach.Federico's work focused on the study of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug Ibuprofen, the third most prescribed drug in the world. The innovative protocols he developed, some of them patented, allowed him to design six derivatives of ibuprofen enhanced in water-solubility.

My name is Sandra Iwuajoku born into the family of Sir and Lady I.L.Iwuajoku on the 20th of October 1990.I am from Imo state Nigeria, but grew up in Warri delta state where I had my primary and secondary education. Thereafter proceeded to covenant university ota ogun state for my bachelor degree in petroleum engineering. Then obtained a postgraduate diploma in petroleum geoscience and did a six month internship at laser petroleum and geoscience limited in 2016 at Lagos state. Furthermore got a master’s degree in petroleum engineering in 2020 from Covenant University. Currently my pursuit for a doctor in philosophy is in view and also running a course in data analytics. I am single and live in Lagos state Nigeria.
