Vladimir Torchilin got his M.S, Ph.D., and D.Sc. degrees from the Moscow State University and serves currently a University Distinguished Professor and Director, Center for Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and Nanomedicine, Northeastern University, Boston. He has published more than 450 original papers, more than 200 reviews and book chapters, wrote and edited 13 books, and holds more than 40 patents. Google Scholar shows more than 73,000 citations of his papers with H-index of 121. He is Editor-in-Chief of Current Drug Discovery Technologies, and Drug Delivery, Co-Editor of Current Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and on the Editorial Boards of many other journals. He has multiple honors and awards and in 2011, Times Higher Education ranked him number 2 among top world scientists in pharmacology for the period of 2000-2010.

Director of the Chinese Academy of Science's Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences at Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences and Distinguished Professor of Plant Biology, Departments of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture and Biochemistry at Purdue University. Dr. Zhu earned his bachelor's degree in soils and agricultural chemistry from Beijing Agricultural University; his master's degree in botany from the University of California, Riverside, and his doctorate in plant physiology from Purdue. Previously at the University of California, Riverside, where he was the Jane Johnson Chair Professor in the Institute for Integrative Genome Biology and Department of Botany and Plant Sciences, 2004-2010. Prior to that, The University of Arizona, 1996-2003 and Auburn University, 1995. His research that has sought to elucidate the signaling pathways in plants that govern their responses to environmental stresses. His research has contributed to current understanding of the molecular-genetic mechanisms underlying salinity tolerance, drought tolerance, and low temperature stress in plants, with the ultimate goals of both enhanced agriculture productivity and decreased degradation of the environment.

Prof. (Em.) Aharon Gedanken obtained his Ph. D. degree from Tel Aviv University, Israel. After his postdoctoral research at USC in Los Angeles, he got a lecturer position at BIU on Oct. 1975. He spent two sabbatical years at AT&T Bell Laboratories in 1980-8l, and 1987-88 as well as a summer in 1984. He also has done research at NIDDK, NIH in the summers of 1989, 1990 and 1991. In 1994 he switched his research interest from Spectroscopy to Nanotechnology. His special synthetic methods of nanomaterials include: Sonochemistry, Microwave Superheating, Sonoelectrochemistry, and Reactions under Autogenic Pressure at Elevated Temperatures (RAPET). Since 2004 he is mostly focused on the applications of nanomaterials. Gedanken has published 860 per-reviewed manuscripts in international journals and has applied for 38 Patents. His H-Index is 96 according to the WEB of SCIENCE, and 110 according to Google Scholar. Gedanken has served as the Department Chairman as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences at Bar-Ilan University. He is on the editorial boards of 8 international journals. He still leads a group of 11 research people. He was a partner in 14 European community projects 3 in FP5, 4 in FP6, 5 in FP7 and 2 in Horizon 2020. He was a coordinator of 2 EC projects, of the five EC (European Community) FP7 projects one of them, SONO, was coordinated by him. This project was announced by the EC as a “Success Story”. He is a partner in PROTECT a textile project in Horizon 2020. He was the Israeli representative to the NMP (Nano, Materials, and Processes) committee of EC in FP7. He was awarded the prize of the Israel Vacuum Society in 2009 and the Israel Chemical Society for excellence in Research in Feb. 2013. Two startup companies have originated from his Patents. One, SONOVIA, is selling successfully antiviral face masks (SONOMASK). Another of his products that is being sold successfully in Israel is Prophecy, a cosmetic product made of nanoparticles of Hyaluronic acid.

Robert Garfield is an American academic and scientific author with formal training in pharmacology (PhD, University of Alberta, Canada). He has collaborated globally with leading scientists and clinicians and trained many exceptional young scientists. He has held positions as full professor in Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario), University of Texas Medical Branch (Galveston, Texas), St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and Creighton University School of Medicine (Phoenix, Arizona), and recently completed four years of research and teaching at Guangzhou Women and Children’s Hospital (Guangzhou, China). Presently, presently he is a professor at the in University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix. Ms. Dr. Lenka Mynarova, studied sociology at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague and her entire professional career is devoted to innovation in various fields - nanotechnology, biotechnology, science and research communication and popularization of science and research. She was awarded the Manager of the Year 2018 Award for Leading the Hydal Biotechnology Project. In 2015, project Hydal received the Frost and Sullivan Technology Innovation Award for Best Technology Innovation in Biotechnology. L. Carl E. Creutz is a Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. He received a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Johns Hopkins university in Baltimore, Maryland, and completed postdoctoral studies at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, before joining the faculty of the University of Virginia in 1981. He was oneof the discoverers of the annexin family of calcium-dependent, membrane-binding proteins, the copine family ofcalcium signaling proteins, and the tricalbin family of yeast synaptotagmin homologs. He has directed a research group working on the biochemistry and cell biology of these protein families since 1981. Recently he has initiated studies of the ability of metazoan annexins to protect microbial cell membranes from deleterious effects ofbiofuels synthesized by yeast or bacteria. This novel technology may hold promise for enhancing yields of biofuels produced in these organisms.

R. Katsarava is a full Professor and Director of the Institute of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering of the Agricultural University of Georgia, invited Professor of the Georgian Technical University. Prof. R.Katsarava is the founder of several new polycondensation methods of polymer synthesis that have been developing since 70s. Prof. R. Baisakhi Mondal is a molecular epigeneticist in Cancer Biology and Stem cell Biology, PhD. Currently, she is a Post-doctoral Research Associate at The University of Edinburgh, UK. She has majored in Microbiology during her Bachelors and Masters from The University of Calcutta, India in 2007 and 2009 respectively. Towards the end of her masters dissertation she received a scholarship from The Indian Academy of Sciences to join Prof.H.S.Savithri to do Molecular Virology Research at Indian Institute of Science Bangalore India. The following years she qualified for various National Eligibility Tests for PhD like CSIR-NET, DBT-NET, ICMRNET, GATE and IISc Entrance. She received her PhD degree in 2016 working with Prof Kumaravel Somasundaram, at the Indian Institute of Science, where she delineated DNA methylome landscape in glioblastoma. She identified a DNA-methylation based signature that could complement the World Health Organization (WHO) 2016 glioma classification system, minimizing the inter-observer variability, improving the accuracy of the stratification of the different grades enabling the necessary therapeutic intervention. Additionally, she characterized a hypomethylated and upregulated gene Fibromodulin (FMOD), specifically present in the malignant grade of glioblastoma. FMOD was found to be dependent on Integrin-FAK-Src-RhoROCK pathway to promoting migration, invasion, tumor growth and angiogenesis that are hallmarks of the aggressive tumor progression. She did her Post-doc work with Dr Hans-Martin Herz at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Memphis, USA. Here, she worked on a novel histone deacetylase (HDAC1) complex named mitotically-associated histone deacetylase (MiDAC) complex to understand it role in stemness and differentiation using mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs). She published showing that MiDAC regulates neurodevelopmental gene expression program to control neurite outgrowth, the first physiological role reported for this complex. Unlike many HDAC-complexes it could act both as an activator as well as a repressor that might have relevance in neurodevelopment disorders. She has experience and skills in the science of epigenetics, cancer biology, xenograft models and Omics (Epigenomics, Genomics, Transcriptomics, Proteomics) studies. She is an active member of AACR and ISNOCON. She has received best oral presentation award in ISNOCON 2016 and travel awards from DBT and IISc GARP. She enjoys research and teaching and has mentored several under-grad students and high school students. She actively publishes and reviews articles in internationally peer-reviewed journals and is also in the editorial board of The Journal of Stem Cells Therapy and Cell Biology Reviews and International Research Journal of Multidisciplinary Scope.

Cécile Echalier is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Imperial College London, with expertise in biomaterials and chemical biology. She studied organic and biomolecular chemistry at the University of Montpellier, France. There, she dedicated her PhD to the synthesis and evaluation of biomimetic materials for tissue engineering applications. After her PhD, she joined the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany. In collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline, she developed chemical tools to elucidate the mode of action of drug candidates. In 2019, she joined the Stevens group at Imperial College London, UK. She was awarded a Scientia fellowship to develop an islets-on-chip platform with integrated biosensors in collaboration with the University of Oslo, Norway.

José Luis Rivera Armenta, professor of full time position at Tecnológico Nacional de México/Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Madero. Dr. Rivera-Armenta has studies in BSc Chemical Engineering; MSc in Petroleum Technology and Petrochemicals and a PhD in Chemical Engineering. He’s responsible for several research projects sponsored by CONACYT and TECNM, the research fields of interest are: rheology, thermal characterization, polymer characterization, polymer composites, asphalt modification, using waste materials from natural and animal sources. Dr Knaupp conducted a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology, which she completed in 2012. In 2013, she joined the laboratory of Prof Polo at Monash University, Australia, to apply her protein biochemical knowledge to the cellular reprogramming field. Her research interests focus on understanding the epigenetic mechanisms that control cellular identity, in particular, transcription factor modes of action and the composition of regulatory complexes at single locus resolution. Dr. Naveen V, PhD, is a Research Fellow at Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute and Department of Biochemistry of Monash University. He received his Ph.D in the field of Biochemistry, Structural and Molecular Cell Biology from Academia Sinica and National Defence Medical Center in Taiwan. His Master's (M.S and M.phil) in the area of Microbiology was received from Gulbarga University and Periyar University in collaboration with Indian Institute of Science (IISc) (India). He also has robust Biotech industry experience from MerckMillpore as R&D researcher and production in-charge for Microbial Molecular research. Currently, his research is focused on understanding the structural and functional aspects of viruses (including COVID19). Azli Yahya is an Associate Professor in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since 2015 until now. He is also a Chartered and Professional Engineer, Ir. & CEng. He holds a Degree in Electro-Mechanical Power System and Masters Degree in Electronic Production from Glamorgan University, UK. He is a doctorate of Loughborough University, UK specializing in Power Electronic System. Since 2000, Dr. Wiberg has been teaching and researching at UCSC in both the Dept. of Electrical and in the Dept. of Computer En- gineering at UCSC, and is a researcher in the Center for Adaptive Optics there. Dr. Wiberg is a Life Fellow of IEEE. He retired as Professor of Engineering and Applied Science in the Electrical Engineering Department at UCLA in 1994, after 29 years there. He was also Professor of Anesthesiology at UCLA. In 1995 Dr. Wiberg served as Sen. Tom Harkin’s (Dem. IA) Legislative Assis- tant in Defense Appropriations, Energy, Environment, Arms Con- trol, and Veteran’s Affairs as IEEE Congressional Fellow. Dr. Faisal has completed his MSc from Wageningen University, The Netherlands in Medical Biotechnology in 2008 within Human Nutrition and Health division. He was also jointly appointed at Sana’a University, Yemen, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. He organized and chaired of Metabolism and Genomics group at UPM. After his academic serving at UPM as Senior lecturer, Researcher and Supervisor and later at Sana’a University and its teaching hospital as associate professor for more than 6 years. He has published more than 60 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board Member and reviewer of peer reviewed Journals in an interdisciplinary research area. His papers were cited more than 1730 times by other researchers. He has an h-index of 22. He received many awards and certificates of merit from different countries for his scientific excellence in the areas of management of patients with metabolic and nutritional disorders with innovative medical nutritional therapies, medication and advanced technologies, in the Clinical, Molecular Nutrition and Metabolism. In 2018, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Faisal has Joined Nan Yang Academy of Sciences (NAS) in Singapore as a NAS Adjunct Research Advisor.

Vakhtang Barbakadze has his expertise in isolation and structure elucidation of a new series of plant polyethers, which are endowed with pharmacological properties as anticancer agents. Besides, he interested in enantioselective synthesis and biological activities of basic monomeric moiety of these biopolyethers, synthesis of enantiomerically pure epoxides as chiral building blocks for the production of synthetic analogues of natural polyethers. In 1978 and 1999 he has completed his Ph.D and D.Sci., respectively. In 2006 up to date he is the Head of Department of Plant biopolymers and Chemical Modification at Tbilisi State Medical University Institute of Pharmacochemistry. In 1996 and 2002 he has been a visiting scientist at Utrecht University, The Netherlands, by University Scholarship and The Netherlands organization for scientific research (NWO) Scholarship Scientific Program, respectively. He has published more than 100 papers in reputed journals. In 2004 he was Georgian State Prize Winner in Science and Technology.

Giulia Massaglia is a Biomedical Engineering, Ph.D. In Electronic Engineering. She is a PostDoc Researcher, operating at Politecnico di Torino and at the Chilab Laboratory of Politecnico di Torino. In 2013 she won a research grant on Development of Polymeric and Ceramic nanofibers from Politecnico di Torino in collaboration with Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), Center for Sustainable Future Technologies (CSFT@Polito). In 2017 she obtained her Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering cum laude from Politecnico di Torino. The Ph.D. was directly supported by the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), in the frame of the Energy Research Platform of the CSFT in Torino. Her activity was focused on the Development of 1D, 2D and 3D nanostructured materials to obtain catalytic anodic and cathode electrode for renewable energy devices (e.g. Microbial Fuel Cells). Investigation of biological characterization of new materials to understand the biocompatibility for the bacteria, the proliferation and colonization of the materials by bacteria. She also focused on the development, improvement and electrical characterization of these bio-electrochemical devices. After being engaged as research fellow at the Center for Sustainable Future Technologies (CSFT@Polito) of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, in 2017 she won a Post-Doc Research grant at Politecnico di Torino, DISAT. Her research activities are mainly focused on:  Micro and Nano technologies,  Electrospinning Technology  Energy and Sustainability.  Investigation on nanomaterials and their application in different fields, such as energy devices, tissue engineering and microfluidic devices. She is author and co-author of 23 publications on highly ranked international Journals, 3 book chapters and several international conference proceedings, with a H-Index of 7 (Source SCOPUS, 04-2020). She has worked as Researcher in national and international projects  2016 – 2018 _ MUES (Microbial Fuel Cells as Underwater Power Enablers for Sensors ) funded by the Italian Ministry of Defence. Role: Research Fellow at Italian Institute of Technology  2014 – 2017 _ NICOP (New Catalytic Materials for Innovative Cathodes in Microbial Fuel Cells for Long-Term Energy Production in Marine Systems) funded by the Office of the Naval Research Global – ONRG. Role: Researcher at IIT  2014-2016_ MADE IN ITALY Progetto di Innovazione Industriale Nuove Tecnologie per Made in Italy 2014-2016. Study and Development of sensors in order to monitor all chemical elements in water, which can be nocive for the human health and all environment. Role: Researcher She is currently involved as PostDoc Researcher at the Project SMART 3D (Piattaforma tecnologica Fabbrica Intelligente 2018-2019 Role: Post Doc Researcher at Politecnico of Torino) She is currently involved in industrial collaborations aiming at developing new materials for micro-sensing.

Dr. Shilpi Sharma is designated as Associate Professor in Computer Science and Engineering Department of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh from last 12 years. She has 20+years of experience in teaching. She did her M.Tech in Computer Science from Rajasthan Vidhyapeeth in 2006 and completed her PhD from Amity University, India in 2016. Her major field of research is Network Security, Cyber Security, Social Networks etc. She has authored/co-authored more than 70 research paper in International Journals and Conferences. She has been associated with many International Conferences as TPC member, reviewer and session chairs. Dr. Sharma has filed 6 patents. She is an active member of IEEE, ACM, IET, IAENG & UACEE. Presently she is guiding 2 research scholars.

Prof Anil Kumar Tripathi is a Professor of Biotechnology and Director, Institute of Science at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India. He was also the Director of CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CSIR-CIMAP), Lucknow and Mission Director of CSIR-Aroma Mission. He obtained his MS and Ph.D. degree in Botany from BHU. He carried out his post doctoral research at Institute of Genetics, Bayreuth. He had several fruitful collaborations with research labs in USA, Germany, France, Israel, Italy, Belgium, Manila etc. His research interests include genetics, functional genomics, systems biology and synthetic biology of a plant growth promoting rhizobacterium, Azospirillum brasilense. He has elucidated role and regulation of several alternative sigma factors in A. brasilense. He is en elected Fellow of Indian National Science Academy (INSA), Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) and National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS). Besides, he is also J C Bose National Fellow of SERB, India.

I have worked on design & commercialization of new technologies in the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) area and my achievements are as follows. I also have served as a committee member to plan Korean government R&D projects or to select and support R&D groups for (1) Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (2) Ministry of SMEs and Startups, (3) Ministry of Health and Welfare, and (4) Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

Dr. Usha Kiran is currently holds the position of Director, Vanercia Institute of Technical Institute, Noida. Biotechnology and Bioinformatics research are my major thrust areas. I used bioinformatic tools to study signalling modulators that are be used by plant cell to evoke protective cellular response especially proline biosynthesis and degradation during stress conditions. I have published more than 30 peer-reviewed research article, review article, book chapters in journals and books of national and international repute. I have written, co-written and co-edited 3 books, including Plant Biotechnology: Principles and Application; Publisher Springer and Transgenic technology based value addition in plant biotechnology; Publisher Elsevier.

Tristan Darrel Agustin is a veterinarian who graduated from the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 2020. He is known for being passionate in his practice particularly in the field of ruminants. In 2017, at the age of 19, Tristan was given the opportunity to partake in a research project at the Agricultural University in Krakow, Poland. The project focused on the correlation between mammary gland echotexture and milk composition in dairy cattle, which earned him a published article in 2020. A couple of months after returning to the Philippines, Tristan became a recipient of prestigious international scholarships, the American Veterinary Medical Foundation - Merck Animal Health Scholarship in 2017 and the World Veterinary Association - MSD Animal Health Veterinary Student Scholarship in 2018. Tristan devotes his time in providing training, inspirational talks, and technical lectures for students and farmers alike. Currently, he is exploring other fields such as small animal and wildlife practice at Animal Care Hospital and Wellness Center, and research on poultry welfare practices under Animal Kingdom Foundation Incorporated, aiming to acquire broad knowledge and skills, and become a veterinary practitioner of multiple species.

Claudia L. Garzón-Castro is PhD in Bioscience from Universidad de La Sabana (Colombia). She received her title of Electronic Engineer from Universidad Distrital “Francisco José de Caldas” -Colombia, of Master’s in industrial Automation from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Specialist in University Teaching from Universidad El Bosque - Colombia. Currently, she is a leader of CAPSAB (Control and Automation of Processes from Universidad de La Sabana). Her principal topics of investigation are control ADRC and automation of bioprocess. She is author of different products as: software, articles both journals and congress, and patents.

Mukti Ram Paudel, PhDis an Assistant Professor at Central Department of Botany of the Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. His major fields of interest are:exploration and documentation of orchids and their plant tissue culture and micropropagation, production of secondary metabolites in tissue culture, isolation of secondary metabolites, chemical characterization, and pharmacological activities mainly antioxidant, antimicrobial, antidiabetic and anticancer.Dr. Paudel has research experience in various projects funded by national and international organizations and has completed two research projects as principal investigator and two as co-investigator. He has published more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals. He has also published a few books and book chapters.

Mr. Edward Kwaku Armah is currently completing his doctoral studies in Chemical Engineering from the Durban University of Technology, Durban, South Africa. He is also a research assistant for the Environmental Sustainability Module in the same department. He has mentored and coordinated projects in the same department and has co-supervised six (6) undergraduates from the same department in the past three years. He obtained his BSc and MPhil degrees in Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry respectively from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. Edward is a registered member of the Water Institute of Southern Africa (WISA) and the Young Water Professionals (YWP), KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa. He has published over fifteen peer reviewed journal articles including book chapters and has presented some of his research findings at both local and international conferences. He has won several awards which adds to his credit. His research interests focuses on occupational health and safety management, water and wastewater treatment and renewable energy production using biomass.

Andrea Karlović has graduated in 2014 from the University of Mostar, Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology, her major being Food Engineering. She started in 2019 her post-graduate studies in Food Technology at the University J.J. Strossmayera in Osijek. In 2015 she became an assistant at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology in Mostar, where she continued her research. She is trained in implementation of HACCP. Subjects she teaches are: Technology of wine, Technology of Spirits, Technology of Malt and Beer.
