I am honoured to be Conference Chair and Plenary Speaker of TOXI2021 at Marseille, France on November 11-13, 2021. This promises to be an exciting mix of presentations relating to both toxicology and drug discovery. Topics will range from environmental toxicology from Robert Letcher to drug discovery where Jacobson Kenneth will discuss the challenges of GPCR structures for rational design. I will be surprisingly a little more mainstream, focusing on structure-guided design to gain selectivity. But we will also hear about exciting new areas such as the use of poisonous mushrooms as pharmacological agents from Zeliha Selamoglu. This conference will discuss conventional drug discovery and the opportunities for more adventurous solutions to new medicines! A toxic mixture! You are all welcome to join and contribute!!!
Looking forward to welcoming you in Marseille, France.
Sincerely,
Prof. Tom L Blundell

We trust you, your families and colleagues are well at this peculiar time. As we all know, the Omicron variant of Covid-19 has surged across the globe over the last few weeks at unprecedented speed. The new infections have broken records across many regions, including the United States and Europe.
As a result of increase in number of cases many governments, companies, and institutions have implemented much more strict travel policies which will directly impact the travel of our speakers and participants. The TOXI2021 organizing committee and The Scientistt have been closely monitoring the situation and carefully evaluating the options we have. Given the diminishing value of having a physical conference due to travel restrictions, especially from overseas, and concerns over the safety of all our participants, we have decided to move the “hybrid” format to a fully virtual conference. This was a very difficult decision and surely will disappoint many of you who have long anticipated meeting your friends and colleagues in person after two years now.
In addition we have received requests from several participants to make the conference virtual as they are not able to travel from their country due to travel restrictions. Considering present situation, we believe moving to a fully virtual format is the right decision since the safety of our attendees comes first.
Thank you all for your understanding.
Sincerely,
The Scientistt
