Andrei A. Bunaciu, graduated the Politehnica University of Bucharest in 1979. He received the Ph.D. degree from the Politehnica University of Bucharest, Faculty of Chemistry, Department of Analytical Chemistry in the field of ion-selective membrane electrodes applied in pharmaceutical analysis in 1990. After several years as Senior Researcher in the Institute of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Research and Romanian Intelligence Service, he was also Senior Researcher in Vibrational Spectroscopy Department at SCIENT - Research Center for Instrumental Analysis, Bucharest. Now he is the C.E.O. of AAB_IR research company, www.aab-ir.ro. His research interests concern molecular recognition of pharmaceutical and biological compounds, using infrared spectroscopy techniques. He is the author/co-author of about 92 publications in medical and pharmaceutical analysis, using different analytical techniques. Prof Iqbal graduated from Delhi University and worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Cambridge University in the research group of Prof Ian Fleming, FRS. He later moved to Oxford University and worked as a research fellow with Prof J. E. Baldwin, FRS. He was a Professor at IIT Kanpur during 1984-99 and later moved to Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (DRL), Hyderabad where he served as Distinguished Research Scientist and Global Head, Discovery Chemistry and subsequently as Director, Dr Reddy’s Institute of Life sciences (2000-2013). Javed has contributed significantly to the area of catalysis in organic synthesis, Drug discovery, process chemistry and synthesis of natural products. He has contributed significantly on new drug discovery in diabetes, cancer and infectious diseases. His research activities at DRL involved design and synthesis of small molecules to modulate disease targets like PPAR, AMPK, JNK, Raf and Aurora kinases. He has guided 30 PhD students and has published more than 200 research papers and has filed 90 patents in diabetes, infectious diseases, cancer, process chemistry for API’s and pharmaceutical co-crystals. Javed is the promoter of two startup companies called Cosmic Discoveries and Zephase Therapeutics. Cosmic Discoveries has developed process chemistry for 30-40 APIs and intermediates for Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd and several other Indian Pharmaceutical companies. He has also served as Director of National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST) Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Trivandrum during 2002. He was visiting fellow at University of Notre Dame, USA, University of Montpellier, France and University of Okayama, Japan. Javed has also taught undergraduate Chemistry Courses at New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, USA in the summer semesters during 1997-99. He was William Evans Fellow in the Department of Chemistry, University of Otago, New Zealand during March-April 2016. He was a visiting Professor at Department of Chemistry, University of Regensburg Germany in May 2019. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Department of Chemistry, IIT-ISM, Dhanbad. Javed is the fellow of both science academies of India and was member of IUPAC committee on Chemicals and Drugs and now a fellow of IUPAC. He was a member of Prime Minister’s committee on Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) society and is a member of Department of Science and Technology’s (Government of India) committee on Drugs and Pharmaceuticals. Javed served as Chairman, Program Advisory Committee (PAC) for Organic Chemistry of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) during 2004-08. He was Chairman of the selection committee for Chemical Sciences of CSIR, Government of India and is currently the Chairman, Research Council, CSIR-NIIST, Trivandrum. Javed was Director of Dr Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences, Hyderabad during 2007-20013. He was on the international advisory board of medicinal chemistry journal CHEMMEDCHEM published by Wiley-VCH and represents India as member of regional committee on Asia and Pacific (RCAP) of International council of Science (ICSU) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is Chair, Science planning group on Epigenitics of RCAP, ICSU Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was leader of the Indian Delegation to IUPAC General Assembly (GA) held at Istanbul, Turkey in 2013. He is currently Co-Founder and Chairman, Incor Renovis Pharma, Hyderabad; Co-Founder and Director, Peptomedica Biotech Pty Ltd., Melbourne, Australia and Adjunct Professor, School of molecular Sciences, LaTrobe University, Melbourne, Australia.

Dr. Nitesh K. Nandwana was born in Kota, Rajasthan, India. He completed his undergraduate studies, earning a B.Sc. from the University of Kota in 2010, followed by an M.Sc. from the University of Delhi in 2012. His passion for research led him to pursue a Ph.D., which he successfully completed in June 2019 at BITS Pilani, India, under the supervision of Professor Anil Kumar. During his doctoral research, Dr. Nandwana focused on developing innovative methods for synthesizing nitrogen-containing heterocycles. His work revolved around metal-catalyzed C-H activation and functionalization, contributing significantly to the field of organic chemistry. After obtaining his Ph.D., Dr. Nandwana embarked on a journey in the United States. Initially, he served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, USA, starting from June 2019. In 2020, he joined Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York, where he explored his research interests in developing novel boron-based therapeutic and diagnostic agents. His primary focus was on applications for treating brain cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. Currently, Dr. Nandwana is pursuing his second postdoctoral position at The Wistar Research Institute in Philadelphia, USA. In this role, he dedicates his expertise to designing and synthesizing small molecular PROTACs (Proteolysis-Targeting Chimeras) for cancer therapy. His research targets crucial proteins like HSP 90, TERT, AURKAA, and EBNA 1, aiming to develop bi-functional compounds capable of modulating multiple pathways associated with tumor growth and survival.

Céline Tiffon is holding a PhD in Tumour Biology from the Medical Faculty of Bern (Switzerland). She received postdoctoral training at the Cancer SciencesDivision of Southampton General Hospital (United Kingdom), and pursued postdoctoral research at the Vascular Research Center of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Marseille, and at the Center for Taste and Food Sciences in Dijon (France). She then worked at the French National Cancer Institute in the Paris metropolitan area as a scientific officer and was involved in a clinical programme. She joined the Biopharmaceutical industry where she is focusing on medical writing and medical communication. Céline joined Indegene in 2020 as a Consultant to support their medical writing resources. Within her role, she works closely with internal and external experts inthe pharma sector to provide expertise in several different therapeutic areas and produce various types of deliverables.

Dr. Maninder Singh is currently working as Brain Pool invited Scientist at Global AI Drug Discovery Center, Ewha Womans University, Seoul, South Korea, where the research projects of their group use AI and CADD methods including modeling of machine learning and deep learning prediction models, virtual screening, molecular modeling, docking, MD simulations. Earlier he did his B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, India and M.Sc. in Marine Biotechnology from Goa University, Goa, India. In M.Sc, he worked on Bioremediation of heavy metals. He joined CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow, India for his P.hD, where he learnt CADD and AI methods. He was also involved in the mentoring of participants enrolled in the certificate course in “Computational Approaches to Drug Design and Development”, CSIR-CDRI Skill Development Program, Skill India Initiative, Govt. of India. In later years, he worked with research groups of CSJM University, Kanpur and NIPGR, New Delhi, in projects related to structural biology and Genome-wide studies. In his ongoing learning process, he learnt to process the blood and tissue samples of cancer patients for FISH and Karyotyping in Oncquest Laboratories, New Delhi (BCIL-BITP program) and plant tissue culture in CSIR-IHBT, Palampur, India. Among the awards and fellowships, he received fellowships from DBT, India for his M.Sc, BCIL-BITP and Ph.D program, CDRI-Incentive award for research excellence, Brain Pool fellowship (NRF, South Korea). Apart from that, he likes poetry, drawing, hiking, rock climbing, badminton. His artwork “SARS-CoV2 - An Interactive Infection” is recognized in IBAB Sci-Art 2020, India.
