Klaus Müllen was director at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research and is continuing research at the universities of Heidelberg and Cologne. His broad research interests range from new polymer-forming reactions, to the chemistry and physics of single molecules as well as graphenes, dendrimers and biosynthetic hybrids. He published more than 2000 papers. He received many awards, honorary doctorates and honorary professorships and he is member of national and international academies. From 2008-2009 he served as president of the German Chemical Society (GDCh). In 2013- 2014 he was president of the German Association for the Advancement of Science and Medicine. In 2010 he won an ERC Advanced Grant for his work on nanographenes. He was associate editor of the Journal of the American Chemical Society.

Lei Jiang is a Professor at the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, National Academy of Engineering, USA, and Australian Academy of Science. His scientific contribution is learning from nature, discovering and establishing super-wettability system: from fundamental understanding to innovative applications. He has made a series of achievements, continuously leading the development of bioinspired super-wettability field in the world, and won many important international awards. Recent research interest includes introduction of quantum-confined superfluid into super-wettability system, and its applications in energy conversion, chemical reaction and biological information transfer.

Efthimios Kaxiras was educated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received a PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics. Since 1991 he has been a faculty member at Harvard University, where he is the John Hasbrouck VanVleck Professor of Pure and Applied Physics in the Department of Physics and Professor of Applied Mathematics in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He also served as Chair of the Harvard Physics Department (2020-2023). He holds several distinctions, including Fellow of the American Physical Society and Chartered Physicist and Fellow of the Institute of Physics (UK). His research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including the development of multiscale and Machine Learning methods for predicting and elucidating theproperties of materials, and contributions to the field of “twistronics”, which refers to the manipulation of electronic and mechanical properties of layered two-dimensional materials (like graphene) that involve a relative twist angle between successive layers.

Martin Kalbac graduated in inorganic chemistry from Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic, (1998), where he also received his Ph.D. degree in 2002 and has been habilitated in the field of inorganic chemistry (2019). Since 2001 he has worked at the J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Currently, he is a vice-director of the institute and the head of the Department of Low dimensional Systems. His research interests include carbon nanotubes, 2D materials, Raman spectroscopy and spectroelectrochemistry, isotope engineering of carbon nanostructures and sensorics.

Zdeněk Sofer has been a professor at the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague, Czech Republic since 2019. He received his Ph.D., also from the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague, in 2008. During his Ph.D. he spent one year at Forschungszentrum Julich (Peter Grünberg Institute, Germany), and after that he had postdoctoral experience in University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. His research interests include semiconductors and 2D materials, their chemical modifications, and electrochemistry. He has published more than 590 papers, received more than 25 000 citations and has an h-index of 78. He is the recipient of the Rector award for young researcher in 2013 and 2016 as well as Neuron Impulse science award in 2016 and the award of the president of Czech Science Foundation in 2019. Prof. Sofer is an associate editor of Flatchem journal.

Dr. Zhongwei Chen is Canada Research Chair (CRC-Tier 1) Professor in Advanced Materials for Clean Energy at the University of Waterloo, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Director of Waterloo Center for Electrochemical Energy (WCEE), Associate Editor of ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (ACS-AMI), and Vice President of International Academy of Electrochemical Energy Science (IAOEES). His research interests are in the development of advanced energy materials and systems for fuel cells, metal-air batteries, and lithium-ion batteries. He has published 3 book, 11 book chapters and more than 450 peer reviewed journal articles with over 45,000 citations with a H-index of 115 (GoogleScholar) He is also listed as inventor over 50 US/international patents, with several licensed to companies internationally. Dr. Nanshu Lu is the Frank and Kay Reese Professor at the University of Texas at Austin. She received her B.Eng. with honors from Tsinghua University, Beijing, her Ph.D. from Harvard University, and then Beckman Postdoctoral Fellowship at UIUC. Her research concerns the mechanics, materials, manufacture, and human or robot integration of soft electronics. She is a Clarivate (Web of Science) highly cited researcher and a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). She is on the Board of Directors of the Society of Engineering Science (SES). She is currently an Associate Editor of Nano Letters and Journal of Applied Mechanics. My name is Gabriel Vieira Soares. I was born in Caxias do Sul, Brazil. I made my college studies since 1989 until 1999 and after that I made aentrance exam at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) at the age of 17. I finished my studies in physics at the age of 21 in 2004 and after that I went to a Phd program in silicon carbide and finally finish my Phd in 2008 at the age of 25. Then I start as anassistant professor at the Universidad de Caxias do Sul in Caxias do Sul as a physicist for two years. In the meantime, I made a contest at (UFRGS) and was approved at the age of 27. After that I was hired and worked in there since then, know I have 40. I have been working in 2D materials for five years in graphene, MoS2 and h-BN and looking different properties to use these materials in microelectronics. Zhiyong Wang studied organic electronics at Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications in China. In October 2017, he joined Prof. Xinliang Feng’s group at Technische Universität Dresden as a PhD student. In his PhD, Zhiyong worked on the design and synthesis of 2D polymers and 2D conjugated metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) based on novel on-water surface synthesis strategies. He received his doctoral degree in Chemistry in November 2021. Then he came to Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics as a postdoc. Since March 2022 he is a group leader for the 2D polymer and interfacial synthesis group in the Department of Synthetic Materials and Functional Devices.

Dr. Pierre Legagneux research interests have included multiwall carbon nanotube based cathodes for microwave and X-ray tubes, single wall carbon nanotubes and silicon nanowires for electronic applications including gas sensing. More recently, he has been working on the synthesis of 2D materials by ion implantation and by molecular beam epitaxy and on high frequency optoelectronic devices based on 2D materials (graphene and PtSe2).

Dr. Wenzhuo Wu is the Ravi and Eleanor Talwar Rising Star Associate Professor in the School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University. Dr. Wu received his Ph.D. from Georgia Tech in Materials Science and Engineering. Dr. Wu’s research focuses on manufacturable nanotechnologies for energy, electronics, and wearable devices. He was a recipient of many awards, such as ORAU Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award, SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award, Advanced Materials Interfaces Hall of Fame, ARO Young Investigator Award, NSF Early CAREER Award, Advanced Materials Technologies Hall of Fame, and Sensors Young Investigator Award. Dr Zhugen Yang is Senior Lecturer in Sensor Technology (US Associated Professor), leading UKCRIC-fundedAdvanced Sensors Laboratoryat Cranfield University to address global challenges in Water, Environment and health. He received a prestigious UKRI-NERCIndependent Fellowship in 2018 to start his independent academic career at the University of Glasgow, where he was appointed as a Lecturer (UK tenured) in School of Engineering before the group moved to Cranfield University in 2019. His group is developing rapid and low-cost sensors (e.g., paper-origami device) for biomedical diagnostics (e.g., infectious diseases and cancers), public health (e.g., wastewater-based epidemiology for COVID-19), and environmental science (e.g., microbial source tracking, antimicrobial resistance antimicrobial resistance). Marinela Barci was born in Mat, Albania. She received the B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino, in 2010, the joint International M.Sc. degree in Micro and Nanotechnologies from the Politecnico di Torino, Grenoble Institute of Technology, France, and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2012. She prepared her Master's thesis at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in New York, USA. Shao-Chun Li is currently a full Professor of Physics at Nanjing University, China, where he became a faculty in 2012. He has been educated in China (PhD, Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 2005) and USA (post-docs, Penn State Univ., UT Austin, Tulane, and Harvard). Prof. Wenbo Mi received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Department of Physics from Tianjin University in 2001, 2004 and 2006, respectively. Bilu Liu is an Associate Professor and PI at Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University. He receivedbachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2006 and Ph.D. from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012. He worked in the University of Southern California as a Postdoctoral Researcher and later Research Assistant Professor between 2012 and 2016, and then joint Tsinghua University. His research covers the chemistry and materials science of low-dimensional materials, including carbon nanostructures, 2D materials, and heterostructures, and their use in electronics, optoelectronics, and catalysis. His work is supported by multiple major projects, including the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of NSFC.

Prof. Zhong-Qiang Zhang studied computational mechanics at Dalian University of Technology and obtained his Ph.D. in 2010. He was a visiting scholar at University of California at Berkeley in US cooperated with Prof Shaofan Li. Currently, he is a professor and vice dean of School of Mechanical Engineering at Jiangsu University in China. He is a member of IOP journal Advisory Board, Member of Micro/Nano Devices and Systems Technology Branch of Chinese Instrument Society, Member of Computational Mechanics Committee of Jiangsu Mechanics Society, and Member of Energy Structural Mechanics Committee of Jiangsu Mechanics Society. Yongfeng Wang is currently a Professor in Peking University, China. He graduated from Peking University, where received his M.S. (2001) and Ph.D. (2006) degrees. Then, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Kiel University, Germany since 2006. From 2012, he started to work in Peking University as a Professor. His current research mainly focuses on molecular self-assemblies, magnetic properties of single molecules, and surface reactions.

Dr Francisco Casesnoves earned the Engineering and Natural Sciences PhD by Talllinn University of Technology, (started thesis in 2016, Thesis Defence/PhD earned in December 2018, official graduate Diploma 2019, thesis subject mathematical and optimization methods in erosion and corrosion). He works as independent research scientist in computational-engineering/physics. Dr Casesnoves earned MSc-BSc in Physics/Applied-Mathematics ( Public Eastern-Finland-University, 2001 ). He obtained the Graduate-with-MPhil, in Medicine and Surgery [1983] (Madrid University Medicine School, MPhil in Radioprotection Low Energies Dosimetry [1985]). His constant service to the International Scientific Community and Free and Independent Estonian Republic technological progress (2016-present) commenced in 1985 with publications in Medical Physics. Actually he has about 70 articles published and two books.

Yi Xia finished his Ph.D. study from School of Material Science and Engineering, Sichuan University and Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua Universityin 2017. Now he is working in Research Center for Analysis and Measurement at Kunming University of Science and Technology. His current research interests include synthesis of functional materials for gas sensing and photocatalysis applications.

Sai Manoj GALI, worked as a researcher and rocket engineer in the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO): Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota- India, during the period 2007-2012. He received a Master degree (M.Sc) in 2014 by joining the European Erasmus Mundus Master in Functional Advanced Materials Engineering (FAME) between the University of Augsburg (Germany) and the University of Bordeaux (France). He earned a PhD in Chemical Physics from the University of Bordeaux (France) in 2017, working in the group of organic electronics, under the supervision of Dr. Luca Muccioli and Dr. Frederic Castet. His PhD was focused on exploring the relation between the molecular structure, energetic fluctuations and micro-mechanical strains on the charge transport properties of organic electronic materials, through atomistic modeling. In November 2017 he joined the the Laboratory for Chemistry of Novel Materials (CMN): University of Mons, as a research fellow under the guidance of Dr. David BELJONNE. His research focus is on the theoretical & computational studies of opto-electronic and charge transport properties of pristine, defective, and functionalized two-dimensional (2D) materials, such as TMDCs, 2D-COFs, MXenes, Graphene and Graphene oxides, combing various computational tools ranging from quantum-chemical calculations and tight-binding models to atomistic simulations employing ab-initio and force-field molecular dynamics simulations. Dr. Yogesh Sonvane completed in Ph.D. degree from the Department of Physics, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat in 2011. Then he joined the Department of Physics, Sardar Vallabhhbhai National Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor in April 2012. He got the Young Achiever Award in the year 2017. He had published more than 80+ papers in SCI/Scopus Journals and 70+ papers in international conference proceedings. He had citations of 1800+, H- Index: 20; i10 Index: 40 Under his supervision Five students got Ph.D. Degree and Six Students are pursuing Ph.D. Currently, he is serving as an Editorial Board Member at Frontiers in Physics (USA), International Journal of Materials Science and Applications (U.S.A.), and Journal of Materials Sciences and Applications (USA).
